Etsy steps up promotion of "celebrity sellers"

Etsy showcased five star sellers on the website link in the email , with the title " Why are these outstanding sellers popular with consumers?" and presented the five sellers' profiles, testimonials, two featured products in the store , and links to the store on the display page .

Etsy CEO Josh Silverman said he is considering using the Star Seller Program to let sellers know that the better the sellers are, the better the display position will be on the platform. The display position is very important for sellers and will have an impact on the exposure of the store. Josh Silverman also said that sellers have not been notified of such plans at present.

Some foreign sellers questioned the plan, saying that they had found a star seller, but the seller only had two stars, which was unfair to other sellers, so they wanted an explanation from Etsy .
