Berlin Brands receives 590 million euros in financing, becoming a European unicorn

It is reported that Berlin Brands Group ( BBG ) recently completed a financing of 590 million euros, which will be used for the acquisition of e-commerce brands and the development of an international logistics network .

The booming development of e-commerce has also led to the popularity of related acquisition companies. BBG is one of the many acquisition companies in Europe, and it is also the largest not only in Europe but also in the world. It currently has 34 e-commerce brands and sells more than 3,700 products.

In 2017, BBG established its first shipping center in Germany with a capacity of 55,000 cubic meters and the ability to deliver 40,000 packages per day. BBG said that its logistics services cover 1.5 billion active e-commerce users in Europe, the United States and Asia, and provide services to more than 100 channels in 28 different countries.

BBG has also been increasing its investment in logistics in recent years. It is now planning an additional 150,000 cubic meter logistics center and plans to expand its logistics network in Europe on a large scale in the next two years. It will open logistics centers in many European countries, especially in Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain and France. The logistics center in the United Kingdom is under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

Earlier this year, BBG had raised 200 million euros in a round of financing, mainly to acquire e-commerce brands in the UK and the US. This new round of financing will not only be used to acquire e-commerce brands, but also to expand its supply chain and basic logistics facilities, and to further develop its own technology platform.

BBG's CEO also said, "With this round of financing, we have set a milestone on the road to building a global brand home and promoted our strategic goals in brand development and logistics expansion. And we can ship through our own logistics center. In the context of unstable supply chains, this allows higher inventory levels, which is especially important for the integration and expansion of newly acquired brands, so that they can be provided to customers faster."

European e-commerce is in a period of prosperity. With the continuous development of European e-commerce, BBG will also have more development opportunities. The combination of e-commerce brand acquisition and logistics will also put it in a favorable position in the e-commerce market and become a force that cannot be underestimated in Europe.
