Good news! UK FBA goods can be shipped to Europe

Recently, some sellers received an official email from Amazon, inviting them to register for the European Fulfillment Network ( EFN) between the UK and the EU.

We know that due to Brexit, from January 1, 2021, the UK will officially withdraw from the EU single market and customs union, and a customs border will be officially established between the UK and the EU.

In response to this, at the end of last year, Amazon divided its FBA business into European business and British business. As a result, the UK's original European distribution network and pan-European plan were terminated.

Under the influence of this change, sellers who operate both the UK site and other European sites must warehouse their products in Amazon warehouses in the UK and the EU respectively to ensure that the products can be sold normally in the UK and EU countries.

For sellers on the European site, this change has increased inventory pressure, raised transportation and delivery costs, and is not conducive to inventory turnover.

Fortunately, after more than 9 months, sellers on the European site finally received good news.

Recently, Amazon began inviting sellers to register for the European delivery network between the UK and the EU.

The editor learned that from November 2021, Amazon began to open a European delivery network from the UK to the EU for invited sellers. This will allow sellers to store goods in Amazon's operations center in the UK, and Amazon will deliver the orders to the EU.

To sell products between the UK and the EU using the European Fulfillment Network, you must: offer your product in the UK and the EU (Germany, France, Italy, Spain); and have inventory in a local Amazon fulfillment center in the UK.

Amazon reminds that if sellers store inventory in the UK and the EU, or use pan-European Amazon Logistics, Amazon will prioritize local inventory for delivery, and then charge domestic delivery fees or European delivery network fees where applicable.

Currently, sellers who have received invitation emails can start registering. Sellers who have not received any emails do not need to worry, as it will be opened one after another in the future.
