FedEx launches new international time-limited delivery service to support cross-border e-commerce

FedEx has launched a new logistics service, FICP ( FedEx International Connect Plus) , to meet the logistics needs of e - commerce practitioners in Asia Pacific , the Middle East and Africa .

Today, businesses and retailers from markets such as China , Singapore , South Korea , Australia , Malaysia, India , Japan and Thailand can choose to use the service . FICP provides logistics services with 1-5 working days delivery for customers within Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa ( AMEA) .

In addition, FICP also provides many functions including logistics tracking , sending push notifications to recipients , and flexible change of delivery options , which undoubtedly improves the visibility , controllability and convenience of orders for e-commerce sellers' customers.

According to a survey by Deloitte , shipping costs and delivery methods are two important driving factors for consumers to abandon shopping behavior . If the shipping costs are too high, about 40% of consumers will not continue to pay ; if consumers think the delivery method is inflexible or the delivery time is not suitable , 10% of people will give up the shopping behavior .

The FICP service launched by FedEx has the following advantages :

Good quality and low price - This service allows enterprises to provide customers with more efficient logistics services at a lower cost . Customers can enjoy matching logistics services while purchasing attractively priced goods .

Flexible and controllable - In addition to home delivery, FICP service allows customers to pick up their packages from hundreds of available pickup locations nearby and change the delivery date and location.

Seamless integration Online and offline shipping automation solutions allow e-commerce businesses to enjoy a paperless experience.

Visible Information - FedEx package tracking function enables e-commerce companies and customers to query relevant information throughout the delivery process .

Kawal Preet, President of FedEx AMEA, said: Building a strong e-commerce ecosystem is a strategic plan for FedEx . By providing companies with more types of logistics solutions, we can help them accelerate the development of cross-border e-commerce business and connect them with more online customers in the AMEA market .

It is reported that FedEx announced last month that it would add four new intercontinental routes across China , North Asia and the United States . These new routes enable its customers to fully explore the potential of cross-border e-commerce . As the epidemic situation improves and the economy in the Asia-Pacific region continues to recover , this will help build stronger intra-Asia, trans-Pacific and Asia-Europe trade flows .
