Naver applied the "Live Mode" in Shopping Live, which is equipped with its self-developed ULL (Ultra Low Latency) playback technology.
Normally, if a live broadcast is conducted, there will be a latency of about 10 seconds between the host and the audience. The host can only respond to the audience's comments after the delay . However, Naver has shortened this time to about 2 seconds through technology.
So, viewers can choose between a reception mode that prioritizes stable broadcasting and a reception mode that prioritizes real-time communication.
Naver said : "Since 2019, this technology has also been used in Naver's fan star live broadcast platform Vlive. In the same year, the technology was applied to BTS's live broadcast and the lower delay time was recognized. "
In addition, Naver has applied the High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) H.265 codec in Shopping Live, supporting 30-40% higher-definition broadcasting compared to the previous one.
In addition, a function that allows viewers to zoom in on the desired scene in real time has been added. The real-time zoom function allows viewers to zoom in on scenes and products with two fingers in a mobile environment, and they can be magnified up to 4 times. Even when zooming, it can be viewed in high definition, so product information can be recognized more accurately even on a smaller mobile screen.

As of last month, Naver Shopping Live has accumulated more than 170 million views and more than 35,000 live broadcasts .
