Recall incidents occur frequently, so check your safety standards quickly!

Bicycles are a very common means of transportation in Europe and the United States. In addition to being a means of transportation for adults, they are also entertainment equipment for children. For safety reasons, children need helmets as protection when riding bicycles. There are also many types of children's helmets when searching on Amazon. Recently, a helmet was urgently recalled due to the risk of head injury.

The recalled helmets are small-sized, with head circumferences ranging from 19 inches to 20 inches, and are available in lime green, mint blue, black, magenta, purple and orange. The "TurboSke" logo is printed on the front and back of the helmet. The manufacturer is in China, the price range is between $14 and $22, and it was sold on Amazon and other websites from August 2020 to July 2021.

The recall is due to the fact that the recalled children's bicycle helmets do not meet the U.S. CPSC federal safety standards for bicycle helmets, posing a risk of head injury. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said that consumers should immediately stop using the recalled children's bicycle helmets and return them free of charge for a full refund or free replacement helmets.

Helmets may not be felt as important in daily life, but once an accident occurs, they can help cyclists avoid head injuries, especially potentially fatal injuries. Therefore, helmets should not be falsified in terms of safety, and children's helmets should be treated with caution.

This is not the first time that a helmet has been recalled. A while ago, a US Consumer Reports report conducted a safety test on 18 helmets on the market and found that a children's helmet with a Bluetooth player sold at Walmart did not meet the standards. As soon as the results came out, the helmet was suspended from sale.

A search on Amazon shows that there are all kinds of children's helmets for sale, many of which are specifically listed as "CPSC safety standards compliant". This standard includes the strength and retention of the helmet's chin strap and buckle , so sellers of helmets should pay attention to this.

Recently, there have been many cases of children's products being recalled, which shows how much attention foreign countries pay to children's safety. Although the safety standards are very strict, they are indeed a strong proof of product safety. If nothing goes wrong, it's fine. If something goes wrong, the consequences may be irreversible. Regardless of the category, sellers should pay attention to the compliance of product quality.
