New service coming? Amazon says it is testing

Recently, foreign media reported that Amazon is promoting customer service outsourcing services, which aims to facilitate Amazon sellers to handle self-service orders, but it is currently in the testing stage.

Amazon Customer Service, or CSBA, is a paid service provided by Amazon. The service will provide 24-hour service to customers through phone, instant messaging and email. Amazon said the service will provide self-service delivery order services to customers on behalf of sellers.

If the seller subscribes to this service, the inquiries of their customers about the order will be transferred to Amazon Customer Service Department, and the seller does not need to handle it by themselves. Because the goods are delivered through the Amazon platform as an intermediary, the information Amazon provides to buyers will be more accurate and timely.

Currently, CSBA is only available to invited sellers and is still a small-scale trial. When joining CSBA for the first time, sellers will enjoy a 30-day free trial. After the trial period, Amazon will charge a CSBA fee for each self-delivered item based on the service effect provided. The fee has not yet been disclosed. Amazon said that if the invited sellers feel that it is not suitable during the test, they can withdraw at any time.

Regarding the CSBA trial , Amazon said it would provide customers with 24-hour service (including holidays) to improve customer experience; reduce Amazon mall transactions, guarantee claims, reduce order defect rates and negative reviews, and help sellers reduce customer service costs.

Many sellers have raised questions about the launch of this service. Some sellers said: Why can't Amazon put more effort into other issues? Will this paid service be included in the monthly fee in the future? Some sellers also said that if the CSBA service is used , will it be unfair on some issues and form a biased service centered on buyers? These are also the key issues that other foreign sellers are concerned about.

It is reported that the service was proposed last year and has only recently started to be piloted. Whether Amazon will eventually promote this service on a large scale depends on the test results.
