AliExpress has achieved impressive growth in Brazil, with sales increasing by 300%!

While many e-commerce platforms are focusing on the European and American markets , AliExpress has achieved surprising results in markets such as Latin America and Western Europe with its new growth momentum.

According to recent data, AliExpress's GMV and order volume in the Brazilian market have both increased by around 300% , with the order volume exceeding 100% year-on-year. During this year's 6.18, the average daily number of buyers increased by about 36% year-on-year, and the transaction volume increased by 211% year-on-year, while the second-ranked Korean market was 98%, with a significant growth gap.

When talking about the recent growth advantage of AliExpress in the Brazilian market, in addition to the huge scale advantage of the market itself, the relevant person in charge of AliExpress also attributed it to the local people's sensitivity to prices and the use of social software . Recently, AliExpress launched two activities in Brazil, namely the "1 Brazilian currency to bargain for hot products" bargaining activity (invite others to bargain) and the subsidy plan, which brought benefits to both buyers and sellers and attracted many consumers and sellers.

According to information released on the AliExpress official website in early August, in the Brazilian market, products such as digital technology (smartphones, computers), home living (home furnishings, beauty products), and clothing and accessories (watches, jewelry) are at the top of the best-selling list.

Currently, Brazil is the second largest consumer market for AliExpress and the largest market in Latin America. Online shoppers account for 86% of the total buyers, and the number of online shoppers is about 67 million, with huge market potential.

In 2020, the transaction growth rate of Latin American e-commerce market ranked first in the world, and the e-commerce penetration rate reached 5% in 2020. Of course, it is not only AliExpress that has set its sights on this market. Amazon, Walmart, and local e-commerce platforms have intensified the market competition. However, according to the previous Q2 of Brazilian local e-commerce, local e-commerce is more popular than Amazon and Walmart.

AliExpress’ recent performance is not only in Brazil, but it has also been at the top of the list in Russia and Spain.
