Good news for small businesses! eBay UK's CEBS financial plan has great uses

Thousands of small businesses have received more than £25 million in funding through eBay ’s UK finance programme , Capital for eBay Business Sellers ( CEBS) .

According to statistics, in the three months since eBay cooperated with its first financial partner YouLend, an average of 17 companies received funding every day , and small businesses have a strong demand for this funding program .

It is reported that eBay UK will also cooperate with two other financial companies , Funding Xchange and Wayflyer , to promote the plan to provide business owners with financial assistance ranging from 5 million to 5 million pounds .

Eligible sellers only need to fill out a short application form. It is understood that 90% of sellers will receive a successful application notification and funding on the day they complete the quotation evaluation .

The most common reasons sellers apply for CEBS funds include investing in new and diversified products, increasing headcount to drive business growth, and finding new ways to promote business through various advertising channels .

David Brackin, founder of Stuff U Sell, said : Flexibility in funding is very important for businesses , especially when faced with the many challenges brought on by the pandemic over the past 18 months .

As a small business, traditional banks were not well-suited to our needs , so when we sought additional funding, we turned to the eBay Business Seller Capital Program. To our satisfaction , YouLend provided us with a six-figure loan based on our circumstances .

" We were very impressed with the speed of YouLend 's service, they completed the quote within hours of the review being completed and the funds were transferred to our account the same day we agreed to the terms . The subsequent service and support was also excellent and we would not hesitate to choose YouLend again . "

Diva Patang, founder of Diva Group , also said, Our YouLend loan was approved three months ago, and we have since used the money to expand our inventory to meet the growing needs of our customers while providing them with more choices .

We ’re in the home furnishings business and having a wide range of products is key to our success. When you’re starting a business, every penny counts, so getting funding is an important step in scaling your business.

Murray Lambell, eBay UK managing director , said : The interest in the CEBS programme has far exceeded our expectations . There is a clear need for capital from small businesses, particularly those that are less than three years old and do not have easy access to traditional bank loans .

With so many entrepreneurs and start-ups emerging in response to the pandemic , we are exploring ways to expand the program to ensure more businesses can access the financial support they need to grow and scale .
