Sellers sell nearly 3 billion euros per month, the top ten categories on the UK site are here

Third-party sellers are an important part of the Amazon platform. According to statistics, there are approximately 13,500 sellers on the UK site , generating total retail sales of nearly 3 billion euros each month.

Based on the distribution of the number of sellers, the top ten categories are groceries, beauty, DIY and tools, home kitchen, outdoor sports, clothing, automobiles, garden and outdoor, pets, stationery and office supplies.

Generally speaking, the sales of categories with a large number should also be high, but this is not the case. According to the monthly income of each category, the highest sales are books , with a monthly income of almost 350,000 euros, followed by clothing and pet products. Beauty and skin care are the lowest sales among the top ten.

During the epidemic, the entire e-commerce circle has developed rapidly. Surveys show that last year, the traffic of Amazon's UK site increased by 32%, and the annual visits reached 6.5 billion times, which is the largest increase among all e-commerce platforms.

Recent data also shows that e-commerce revenue in the UK accounts for about 25% of total retail sales, and Amazon accounts for 5.5% of the total, which means that Amazon accounts for about 20% of the local e-commerce share .

This shows that Amazon has a strong presence in the UK e-commerce market, which has attracted a wave of acquisitions of popular local Amazon sellers. The acquisition representative believes that "whether you sell football equipment in a basement in Manchester or live in Birmingham and own a large-scale e-commerce company, sellers on the Amazon marketplace can follow their passion and make money from it."

Although e-commerce sales in the UK have declined in recent months , they reached a record high of £10 billion in July and are expected to reach £12.8 billion for the full year.

Although the growth rate has slowed down, e-commerce is still moving forward. To this end, the UK also plans to build about 3.4 million square meters of warehouse space this year. Compared with last year, this scale has increased by more than 60%.

As a major market in Europe, British e-commerce is still in its development stage, and sellers in related fields should also make good market layout based on local conditions.
