On July 12, Amazon UK announced the implementation of a new quotation policy, which will take effect from November 20, 2021.
The original announcement is as follows (but Amazon got the date wrong ...)
Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Spain and Italy will be affected by the adjustment, and the product categories that need to be adjusted include: baby, groceries, health and personal care, beauty, pets, wine and personal care appliances.
The adjustment directions are mainly in the following two aspects: Requires a count attribute: a value such as "5" Requires a unit type attribute: units such as "ounces" and "grams"
In simple terms, you need a complete structure like "5 grams" and make supplementary modifications based on this format. These two items are required fields on the listing page. For products that are already on the shelves, sellers can modify the listing through listing templates or the Listing Quality Dashboard.
Moreover, there is a 90-day grace period for this regulation . As long as the requirements are met during this period, if the product still does not meet the regulations, it will be removed from the search results. Sellers can find the removed products in the Fix Your Product list.
Sellers can also check the inventory quality dashboard to see which of their ASINs need to be adjusted. There is still plenty of time and it can be solved with simple operations. Sellers can make modifications slowly during this period.
During this period, there are more and more new regulations on the European site. For example, some time ago, European countries conducted strict inspections on tax payment and cracked down on various tax evasion behaviors. Those who were found out not only had to pay a large amount of taxes, but even their stores were in danger, which made sellers panic. Then, from July 1, new tax reform regulations, plastic restrictions, etc. were implemented...
As the tides rise, it is unknown what new changes will occur in the future. Sellers have also expressed that it is becoming increasingly difficult to do business on the European site. However, although the policies are constantly changing, they are inevitable, and sellers just need to follow them. Amazon Europe |
