Simba's first quarter sales hit a record high, with rapid growth in global business

As consumers continue to invest heavily in sleep during the pandemic , Simba reported record first-quarter sales and profits.

According to foreign media reports, British mattress brand Simba recently released its first quarter financial report, with its UK sales increasing by 295% year-on-year, while global sales soared by 265% during the same period . Simba's first quarter sales and profits both hit record highs. Businesses in France, Canada, China and the UK all achieved record results.

Simba performed outstandingly during the epidemic, with rapid business growth, and maintained a good growth trajectory after the blockade was gradually relaxed. Simba said that through the lifting of the blockade, the company's performance has remained strong and is expected to achieve its best second quarter performance to date.

Steve Reid, CEO of Simba , said : “Covid has accelerated the shift to online shopping for many consumers and it shows no signs of abating, and the overwhelmingly positive reviews for the Luxe mattress further confirm that quality is an important driver of price, demonstrating that a good night’s sleep and a quality mattress don’t just improve the price.

In March, Simba expanded its strategic partnership in the UK and Europe with USleep, the mattress division of Belfield Group, giving Simba additional supply-side stability in the face of historically high demand and growth.

Simba 's CEO said : "Like many companies, we were hesitant about how Brexit would play out, but we made a number of improvements to our supply chain in 2020 that facilitated a smooth transition rather than pumping the brakes."

Additionally, the growth of Simba ’s UK business has spurred steady growth internationally and we expect to see increased position and market share in France, China and Canada this year.

Nicholas Pink, Simba chief operating officer, said: “Simba’s success is the result of a formula of continuous evaluation and enhancement of business practices, true product innovation and quality of delivery.

Crucially, continued sales growth throughout 2020 and continued record profitability in 2021 demonstrate that the model is not only strong but also sustainable.”
