Pinterest takes multiple measures to encourage e-commerce sellers to join the platform

Recently, Pinterest expanded its merchant tool suite to help e-commerce sellers of all sizes join the platform , launching verified merchant programs in different regions , as well as store tag and product tag features .

The updated profile expands the functionality of the store tab, allowing merchants to transform their store tab into storefront information , including information by category, specialty products , and store updates .

The updated product tagging feature allows merchants to add tags to product images, linking products that can be purchased , and stimulating users to convert immediate excitement into consumption behavior . When users close the image with the tagged product , they will be able to see the product details.

Pinterest has already launched a verified merchant program with several retailers, and sellers interested in signing up for the program can learn more at pinterest.com/verified.

People have always come to Pinterest to shop they use Pinterest to discover new ideas and actively think about what to do or buy to bring those ideas to life,” said Dan Lurie , global head of shopping product at Pinterest . “We want to provide a fast and easy shopping experience that helps users find the products that are right for them and ensures they can make reliable choices from reputable merchants.

Data shows that when Pinterest users collect their favorite ideas and products in the app , they are more than 7 times more likely to buy these products soon after than to buy general goods . Pinterest has therefore launched a shopping list feature to facilitate users to buy with one click later . When the price of the products they collected is reduced , Pinterest users will receive price reduction notifications. The shopping list feature will first be launched in the United States and the United Kingdom , and will then be launched in Australia, Canada, France and Germany .

In addition, Pinterest has expanded its in-app shopping capabilities to Australia, Canada, France and Germany, giving users the opportunity to conduct shopping searches directly through Pinterest. Pinterest users will be able to see customized recommendations generated based on user behavior during the shopping process , including fashion trends , expert advice , etc.
