Ye Jianqiu, general manager of Tmall Taobao's overseas business department , said that the brand power of Chinese manufacturing is increasing, and overseas consumers have strong demand for high-quality domestic products on Taobao Tmall. "We will help 100,000 new domestic merchants accelerate their overseas expansion throughout the year . "

In addition, local refund insurance services are also provided to solve the problem of cross-border returns.
"The biggest headaches for domestic merchants selling overseas are logistics and payment issues. How do they ship goods? How do overseas users pay? Is the security of funds guaranteed?" Ye Jianqiu said that the platform's continuous improvement and upgrading of cross-border infrastructure will also accelerate the export of domestic products and tap into business opportunities in overseas markets.
It is reported that merchants going overseas through Tmall and Taobao can directly use Alipay for RMB settlement; in terms of logistics, Tmall and Taobao have flights every day at the aviation hubs in Hangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, with more than 20 flights per week between China and Singapore and Malaysia . In addition, it has also achieved the first daily sea freight service from Singapore to Malaysia in the cross-border industry.
In the past year, as an emerging trade format , cross-border e-commerce import and export trade volume has increased instead of decreased, becoming an important force in stabilizing foreign trade during the epidemic . Domestic products have also accelerated their overseas expansion through Taobao and Tmall . In the first quarter of 2021 , the sales of Tmall and Taobao overseas platforms increased by 40 % year-on-year , and the overseas sales of more than 400,000 merchants doubled year-on-year.
