Mesh Korea, a logistics company operating the logistics brand "Vureung" in South Korea , has reportedly signed a strategic equity investment contract with GS Home Shopping , with GS Home Shopping purchasing 19.53% of Mesh Korea's old shares.
Since GS Home Shopping holds 19.53% of the shares, the main shares of Mesh Korea will be composed of four key executives (25.21%) excluding Mesh Korea CEO Yoo Jung-beom, Naver (19.55%), and GS Home Shopping (19.53%).
Through this investment, Mesh Korea plans to collaborate with GS Home Shopping on various delivery services, such as providing 1-3 hour delivery in city centers , early morning delivery, same-day delivery, and more.
On the other hand, GS Home Shopping chose Mesh Korea as its partner because it can maximize the synergy between online and offline in the recent distribution industry.
It is understood that Mesh Korea is a comprehensive logistics platform company. In addition to providing simple logistics for sellers such as D2C and real-time commerce that are developing into comprehensive logistics platform companies, it also provides answers to current sellers' concerns about logistics , inventory and delivery.
GS Home Shopping will build a logistics infrastructure to cope with the recent logistics market in which "fast delivery" will develop rapidly , and deploy offline wholesale and retail stores owned by GS Retail as logistics bases through Mesh Korea to enhance its own competitiveness.
It is expected that with a logistics network including Gimpo and Namyangju logistics centers , 440 major urban small logistics bases (Vureung stations), and the recently opened Micro Fullfilment Center (MFC) , data-based digital logistics technology can connect online and offline and maximize the effectiveness of sales information.
In addition, through the full-process chain system optimized for Mesh Korea fresh food , it is expected to expand the sales of various fresh foods (such as refrigerated foods) and fruits (such as milk cartons), which have grown rapidly since the epidemic .
Differentiated sales formats are also expected, such as connecting products ordered on TV , mobile and live commerce channels through same-day or immediate delivery.
