It is reported that Korean Brandy plans to expand the entire logistics infrastructure of Dongdaemun , open up online sales channels in the Dongdaemun market, expand the entrepreneurial opportunities in the Dongdaemun clothing industry, and accelerate the global development of K-fashion.
It is understood that after Brandy received a separate investment of 10 billion won from Naver in September last year , with the addition of the current investment promotion by Industrial Bank, the cumulative investment is expected to reach 55 billion won.
After opening its first 2,200-ping full-fiberization center in the Dongdaemun Fashion Market base in the country , Brandy will build a second full-fiberization center this year, expanding the total to 4,000 ping.
Through this measure , Brandy plans to more than triple the current 1 million transactions per month and expand the number of direct wholesaler trading offices to 10,000.
As Brandy expands its full-featured, full-fiber service that provides product purchase , packaging , delivery, and customer service, the clothing startup service Hiber that operates on this basis has also attracted the attention of shopping mall operators and general consumers and is expected to expand.
KDB Development Bank explained : “We reviewed and evaluated Brandy ’s competitiveness and growth potential, and its IT infrastructure and Dongdaemun infrastructure, so we decided to make this investment.”
In addition, he added : " This investment is not only to support the growth of startups like Brandy, but we also hope that the Dongdaemun fashion cluster will achieve digitalization and enter the global market , so that the entire industry will be active and form a virtuous circle. "
Brandy CEO Seo Jung-min said, "Through this investment, we will promote the comprehensive expansion and market development of Dongdaemun's full range of products, and will contribute to the revitalization of Dongdaemun's ecosystem based on the 'chain platform' that connects wholesalers, sellers, and consumers. "
He also said that he will work hard to open up a wide range of markets so that overseas consumers can experience the global competitiveness of K-Fashion.
