The Indian e-commerce market is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the COVID-19 pandemic in India! India’s internet economy has doubled from $125 billion in 2017 to $250 billion in 2020.
Recently, according to Indian media reports, Ramagya Group announced that its B2B e-commerce platform Ramagya Mart will be launched soon .
The Ramagya Group has a track record of excellence in India for over 36 years and owns 20 brands across different verticals. The B2B e-commerce platform Ramagya Mart is launched with the aim of connecting manufacturers directly with wholesalers, distributors and dealers.
Ramagya Mart enables a large number of wholesale businesses in Tier II and Tier III cities to do business by providing a platform for Indian manufacturers in specific categories to create a wholesale e-marketplace on the portal .
Social distancing, a large smartphone base, and reliable broadband for more than a year have stimulated the development of e-commerce in India beyond metropolitan areas, penetrating into smaller cities and towns, bringing an element of trust to online commerce in India . This is also an important reason why 66% of India's e-commerce demand comes from second-tier and third -tier cities . In addition, the growth of e-commerce in India's second-tier and third-tier cities is also significantly faster than that in first-tier cities.
“If manufacturers operate at their optimum capacity , they will not only improve productivity and profitability but will also act as a catalyst to create new employment opportunities for people from tier II and tier III cities and towns,” said Utkarsh Gupta , managing director of Ramagya Group.
He also said that Ramagya Mart’s main mission is to be a catalyst for productivity for manufacturers and plans to market and promote the platform on similar lines of successful B2B platforms to attract wholesalers, distributors, retailers and institutions.
“ We will also unveil our investments and core uniqueness of the platform which will benefit both manufacturers and their wholesale business customers. Over the next 3 years, we will ensure that Ramagya Mart becomes one of the best solutions to solve distribution challenges and a catalyst for bulk business marketing for manufacturers in India, ” added Utkarsh Gupta, Managing Director, Ramagya Mart .
