Indonesian logistics company Anteraja achieves another success with increased shipments in the first quarter

Anteraja, a technology-based courier service company in Indonesia , has seen an increase in cargo shipments in the first quarter of this year. President Director Adi Sarana Armada Prodjo Sunarjanto said the delivery business will continue to grow.

Prodjo Sunarjanto explained:The ASSA target of delivering 400,000 parcels per day by the end of 2021 has been achieved, reaching 600,000 last week , but the average number of deliveries per day is around 350,000 to 400,000 .

Prodjo expects that the trend of parcel delivery will continue to increase in the future. In addition, the arrival of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr can boost business development. Compared with previous months , the number of parcel deliveries during Eid al-Fitr increased by about 20% to 30% .

" Overall , as shipments increase , the likelihood of package delivery increases significantly , " he added.

In order to achieve the goal of delivering 400,000 parcels per day, Anteraja has begun to increase the number of couriers and operating points . Not only that, AnterAja is also building a network to expand its coverage.

ASSA 's management believes that the delivery service in the e-commerce transaction business has a very bright future. Especially during the pandemic , social restrictions have had an impact on shipping business, and with the development of online transaction business in Indonesia, the shipping business in the e-commerce industry has also increased significantly .

It is reported that Anteraja launched a new service during the epidemic. Shippers do not need to go to the nearest delivery and collection point by themselves. They only need to use the Anteraja application to notify the courier to complete the door-to-door pickup, and the package will be delivered on the same day or the next day.

Anteraja CEO Suyanto Tjoeng said: “During the social restriction lockdown, our business boomed and grew three times because our services met the needs of our customers at the time. Currently, Anteraja ’s business focus is on increasing service points throughout Indonesia, and also starting to develop online business outside of Java.

Anteraja ’s shipments have increased by more than 500% compared to the end of 2019. It is worth mentioning that Anteraja has contributed a total revenue of 484.3 billion rupees to its parent company PT Adi Sarana Armada (ASSA), accounting for 21.3% of ASSA’s total revenue in the third quarter of 2020.
