Indonesian platform Blibli holds Ramadan shopping festival, offers two-hour delivery service

With the arrival of Ramadan , Blibli held a shopping festival and provided many new services, such as delivery of goods within two hours , to ensure that consumers received the goods in the shortest time.

 

Various studies suggest that public confidence levels about economic recovery will improve in 2021 , and such optimistic expectations could boost enthusiasm for celebrating Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr .

 

During Ramadan, consumer demand for a wide range of products, from food and beverages to clothing , increases significantly. Therefore, in the spirit of #HikmahRamadhan, Blibli has launched a two- hour delivery service to meet consumer needs in the shortest possible time . In addition, Blibli will also host a shopping festival for consumers to purchase a variety of products during Ramadan, said Cindy Kalensang , Vice President of Business Development at Blibli .

 

Blibli has been seeing a steady increase in user demand during Ramadan . The daily order volume on Blibli doubled during Ramadan 2020 compared to normal times , with most consumers purchasing food and beverages , mobile phones , health products, and Muslim fashion products .

 

Online shoppers also come from different cities. For example, customer orders from Bandung , Palembang and Denpasar have increased significantly compared to Ramadan 2019. In addition, during the event, consumers can also enjoy cash back promotions , discounts, games , etc.

 

iPrice’s research confirms the importance of Ramadan for buyers and sellers . Online traffic at 5am during Ramadan increased by 345% compared to weekday traffic in Indonesia. As Ramadan celebrations will also be different this year , changes in lifestyle and social interactions will also have an impact on consumers’ shopping capabilities and habits.

 

“In 2018, flight tickets, train tickets and hotel vouchers were the most searched keywords during Ramadan. However, in 2020, iPrice research found that categories such as fashion , electronics , household essentials and Eid cakes became popular during Ramadan.
