What is Oberlo

Oberlo is a drop shipping platform. With just a few clicks of the mouse, you can quickly import AliExpress products or Oberlo supplier products to the Shopify platform, and AliExpress will complete the delivery of Shopify orders, thus realizing drop shipping on the Shopify platform.

About Oberlo

Oberlo started as an internal project and was founded in Vilnius Lithuania in September 2015 by Tomas Slimas, Andrius, Justas Galaburda, Marius Grauzinis, and Donatas Pranckenas. In order to solve various problems encountered in the dropshipping business process, they developed a tool that can help them automatically process product listings and orders, and named this tool Oberlo.

On April 28, 2017, Shopify acquired Oberlo for $157 million and shut down its wholesale business, replacing it with Oberlo’s dropshipping business.

Currently, the platform supplies more than 600,000 Shopify sellers, and the platform suppliers have sold more than 85 million products in total.

Operation Process

1. Suppliers add products;

2. Shopify sellers import suppliers’ products into their stores and start selling them;

3. Shopify sellers receive orders for a certain product from suppliers;

The package fees vary depending on the number of products listed and orders that can be shipped each month, as follows:

Starter: Free, can upload 500 products per month, can receive 50 orders for delivery;

Basic: $29.9/month, 10,000 products can be uploaded per month, and 500 dropshipping orders can be received;

Pro: $79.9/month, 30,000 products can be uploaded per month, and the number of dropshipping orders that can be received is unlimited.

FAQ

Q: What should I do if the products listed or the orders received exceed the package limit?

A: If you exceed the order limit of your plan, you can still receive orders normally. However, automatic order fulfillment will be disabled and you must manually send products to customers. If the number of products listed exceeds the plan limit, you will not be able to list any additional products until you upgrade your plan.

Q: Can I cancel my account at any time?

A: Of course you can. If you decide that Oberlo is not right for your business, simply uninstall the app from your Shopify store.
