FNAC is a well-known retailer of cultural products and electrical appliances in France. Its full name is Fédération Nationale d'Achats Cadres, which means "National Purchasing Federation of Managers".


About FNAC

FNAC is one of the most famous retailers in France. Founded in 1954, it is one of the fastest growing platforms in Europe and the third most visited e-commerce website in France after Amazon and Cdiscount, with more than 20 million shoppers and more than 10 million unique visitors per month.

FNAC’s business has covered eight countries, including France, Belgium, Brazil, Monaco, Morocco, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland. It has a total of 189 stores worldwide, including 115 in France, 9 in Belgium, 12 in Brazil and 25 in Spain. Its main categories include electronic products, cultural audio-visual products, home furnishings and kitchenware, etc.

According to the data analysis of French Lengow, the characteristics of the audience users of FNAC online platform are as follows: female consumers account for 54%, male consumers account for 46%; the main user group is aged 35-49; 40% of members are middle- and high-income groups.

Entry conditions

If you are an individual seller, the entry requirements for FNAC are to have a French mobile phone number and address;

If you are entering as a company, you will be required to provide a mainland business license or a Hong Kong BR business license;

·Experience in cross-border e-commerce platforms is required. Store links such as Cdiscount, eBay, and Amazon must be provided. Stores with good sales and high reviews will be given priority;

·Requires a high level of French proficiency. If you or your employees have a CET-8 level of French or a native French person is available to operate, it is relatively easy.

It is much easier for branded products to apply for FNAC admission than unbranded products.


How to join

1. Channel: ESG Group is the official agent designated by FNAC in China. It is responsible for FNAC's investment promotion services in China and provides a green channel for Chinese sellers to enter the FNAC platform.

2. Sellers can also apply for registration by themselves. Click here to enter the self-registration process:

The seller is asked to log in to his email account. If he does not have one, he needs to create a new one. Then click the yellow button "Nouveau vendeur ? Créez un compte" to create an account;

*Tip: Sellers who cannot understand French can click EN in the upper right corner of the webpage to switch the language to English.

(1) First, you need to fill in your personal information, including gender, name, email address and password, date of birth, store name and password.

*Note : When creating a FNAC store name, it cannot be the same as other stores, and the name cannot exceed 15 characters.


(2) Next, you need to fill in the company information: company address, region, town, zip code, customer service phone number, company phone number, store language, country, etc.;

(3) The last part is still company information, but the content to be submitted is different: SIRET, VAT, links to stores opened on other e-commerce platforms, company name, documents that can prove the legitimacy of the company, company address, customer service email, etc.

(4) After filling in the form, click the yellow button to submit, and then complete the next step according to the platform requirements. This is the FNAC entry process.


After settling in, the store's requirements are:

1. Order acceptance rate > 97%;

2. Order dispute rate < 5%;

3. Store rating > 4.5;

4. Order receiving time: within 48 hours;

5. Order delivery time: within 48 hours;

6. It is strictly forbidden to follow the sale or upload counterfeit and shoddy products, especially brands, such as JBL, Beats, etc. Once discovered, the platform will refund or close the store, and the seller will bear the losses caused!


Fees and Payments

·Monthly rent is fixed at 39.99 Euros per month;

FNAC, like other platforms, will charge sellers commissions. The commissions vary according to the categories. The following figure is a reference for each category and commission:


The payment method is to settle through the designated FNAC China Merchants Partner ESG, and a loan agreement must be signed with ESG. ESG will charge 2.5% + 1% exchange rate fee of the total platform amount, which is relatively acceptable.


How to upload products in FNAC?

After registering, sellers can upload products. There are mainly the following ways to upload products:

1. Create a product. For the first upload, you need to contact the corresponding account manager to ask for a template, fill it out and send it to them for upload;

2. Add Offer. The product can be launched online only after uploading the offer.

There are 3 ways to upload an offer:

(1) Single upload;

(2) Batch upload;

(3) API connection and upload.


Platform logistics method

The timeliness requirement after settlement is that the goods arrive within 10 days (including peak season);

After entering the market, sellers will be required to use only overseas warehouses or express delivery, and can ship goods across channels such as CD and Amazon.fr;

·FNAC does not support surface mail, and the package must have a tracking number;

In addition, if you encounter a platform return, you have the following options:

1. Return to the seller’s own European warehouse;

2. For returns to China, each package must be affixed with a return shipping label, and the shipping cost shall be borne by the seller;

3. The product is no longer needed.

-In 2011, FNAC opened its first store in Africa.

-At the beginning of 2015, FNAC became the preferred e-commerce website for the French; and opened 184 branches in 2015.

-In 2016, FNAC achieved a turnover of 3.9 billion euros, with an average monthly visitor volume of more than 10 million, more than 20 million loyal customers, more than 5.3 million members and more than 3,000 professional sellers.

-In April 2016, FNAC announced a bid of 1.16 billion euros to acquire electrical appliance retailer Darty.
