Norway ranks first with a mobile shopping penetration rate of 80% , followed by Spain, Sweden, and Finland, all at 77%; the Netherlands is closely behind with a penetration rate of 76%. Some European countries with large e-commerce markets rank lower in mobile shopping penetration rates: Italy (74%), the United Kingdom (70%), France (68%), and Germany (67%). In recent years, consumers ' consumption scenarios have begun to shift to mobile devices such as smartphones. This change has been particularly evident after the 2020 epidemic. Data shows that about 71% of consumers worldwide have shopped on their mobile phones.
In Norway, the main online consumer groups are Generation Z and Millennials, who use mobile devices to meet their shopping needs. Most of the growth in mobile shopping compared to before the pandemic is driven by Generation Z and Millennials.

In terms of purchase categories, the most popular among Norwegian consumers are electronic products , clothing, shoes, travel and leisure, and outdoor sports products. These major categories firmly occupy the top rankings in search volume on e-commerce platforms in Norway.
The variety and choice of goods brought by online shopping have made Norwegian consumers more concerned about the cost-effectiveness of goods. Data shows that 90% of Norwegians will compare prices when shopping online , and they will pay attention to discounts and promotions . In addition, 80% of Norwegians are more concerned about the seller's delivery speed and return service.
It is worth noting that 59% of Norwegian consumers have installed 1 to 5 shopping apps on their mobile phones, and 22% of Norwegians have installed 6 to 10 shopping apps.
Among consumers who have shopping apps installed on their phones, more than 85 % use only 1 to 5 apps per week (or none at all) , and 13% of Norwegian consumers use 6 to 10 shopping apps.
