FBA warehouse explosion intensifies, ONT8 and other four warehouses delivery postponed to April

FBA warehouse explosion intensifies, ONT8 and other four warehouses delivery postponed to April

Previously, due to the continuous winter snowstorm in the United States, the delivery of goods by many sellers was delayed, and some sellers even had to wait for one and a half months for air shipments to arrive at Amazon warehouses. Now FBA is out of stock again. According to the latest news, the delivery of four warehouses including ONT8 has been postponed to April. At the same time, MJQ1 is seriously out of stock and the listing is slow. FTW1 is also slow to list and difficult to make reservations.

MJQ1 is seriously liquidated, and ONT8 and other warehouses have delayed delivery until April

Recently, a logistics company issued a notice: Due to the current warehouse explosion at Amazon, the Kapai ONT8, LAX9, LGB8, and LGB8 contracts have all been postponed by Amazon to April. Shippers and consignees need to understand this timeliness.

Another logistics company also recently issued a similar message: ONT8 and LGB8 in the western United States were out of stock, Amazon gave a late appointment time, and the waiting time in line was long. ONT8 is expected to be more than 20 hours longer; in addition, OAK4 is difficult to make an appointment.

In the central United States, affected by the snowstorm some time ago, truck delivery appointments were all postponed due to Amazon's lack of staff, and the MJQ1 warehouse was overwhelmed and the shelves were slow to be put on the shelf. At the same time, due to the snowstorm in the United States and China, UPS pickup has not yet fully resumed, FTW1 appointments are difficult, the shelves are slow to be put on the shelf, and the waiting time for delivery by pallet is long, estimated to be about 20 hours.

In the eastern United States, affected by the previous snowstorm, truck delivery appointments have all been postponed due to Amazon's lack of manpower; MEMI, MEM6, and MDT1 are out of stock, and CHA2's extra-long cargo is easily rejected.

This is consistent with the feedback from sellers on the goods being put on the shelves. Previously, a seller said that due to the snowstorm, the air shipment sent on January 27th did not arrive at the FBA warehouse until mid-March, which was very speechless. Another seller was also very troubled. Many tickets of goods had arrived at MQJ1 for one or two months, but they had not been registered. Another seller said that the goods were delivered to ONT8 on February 24th, and they were still waiting in line for listing in mid-March.

But recently, Amazon's complaints are not only about slow delivery, but also about the frequent loss of goods. A seller complained: "UPS shows that every box has been delivered, but Amazon's backend has 3 boxes missing. The receiving status is already 'completed'. The case has been opened several times and it says that 3 boxes were missing when it was received. There is no intention of compensation at all. Who can I ask for compensation?" In response to this, some sellers suggested that they could provide POD and other information to claim compensation, but the current situation has changed.

In addition, due to the impact of the epidemic, many FBA warehouses do not provide stamped PODs, including ONT8, LAX9, LGB8, GYR3, IND4, IND5, IND9, FTW1, STL4, SAT1, HOU3, DET2, CMH2, CMH3, MKE1, MDW2, CLT2, CHA2, etc. Sellers need to pay attention.

70% of cargo in the West Coast of the United States resumes "buying space fees", and waiting time at the Port of Los Angeles is 8-10 days

Currently, congestion continues at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach in the western United States, and the 2M Alliance has even canceled two routes to the western United States.

According to freight forwarders, more than 70% of cargo on the West Coast of the United States has now resumed the "buy space fee". Freight rates may rise further.

The average waiting time at the Port of Los Angeles is now 8-10 days. The crew members are helpless: "We received instructions from the port to slow down the ship that is about to arrive. But it is already very slow."

Last week, officials with marine traffic in San Pedro Bay in Southern California said 22 container ships were waiting to be unloaded at the neighboring ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles. It's really difficult for container ships to be anchored and unable to unload their cargo!

Since last fall, as more Asian containers have entered Los Angeles, the ports of Long Beach and other West Coast cities have been overwhelmed with more ships than the gateway can handle. Ships with as many as 14,000 containers have been stranded at sea, some for more than a week. At times, as many as 40 ships have been waiting.

"A backlog like this would normally take weeks to clear. New ships are heading to the U.S. as we speak," said Shandon Wilcox, a manufacturing consultant at PA Consulting.

The chain reaction of port congestion is that bottlenecks also appear in land transportation.

Kip Louttit, executive director of the Southern California Marine Exchange , said it takes about 8,000 trucks to haul the cargo on a ship. But when all those trucks are on the road, there aren't enough trucks available when dock workers try to unload the next ship at the port. Freight rail traffic has also been affected.

“When you have more cargo, your cargo-moving system becomes less efficient,” Louttit said. The pandemic itself has also slowed the flow of goods, idled workers in port warehouses.

Industry sources said that taking all the issues into account, when a ship enters the port, it takes five to seven days to unload its cargo instead of two to three days. "This again has an impact on truckers and rail services because they have to wait for port clearance."

The logistics situation is still very complicated, and riots in many parts of the United States continue to cause trouble.

Demonstrations broke out in many places in the United States

Recently, marches and rallies have broken out in many places in the United States.

On March 16, local time, three shootings occurred in Atlanta, Georgia, killing at least eight people, four of whom were Asian women.

On March 20, marches and rallies with the theme of “Stop Asian Hate” broke out in many places in the United States, including Atlanta.

There are Asian demonstrations of varying sizes almost every day in New York City; in Boston, Massachusetts, at least four demonstrations were held consecutively on the 20th and 21st.

From Washington, D.C., to Dallas, Texas, to Cincinnati, Ohio, Chicago, Illinois, Denver, Colorado, to Seattle, Washington, San Francisco, San Diego, San Jose and other places in California, waves of demonstrations have been rising and falling across the United States from south to north and from east to west.

In addition, other riots are also taking place in the United States.

On the 20th local time , a shooting occurred at an illegal party held in Philadelphia, USA, which has resulted in 1 death and 5 injuries. The police said that after the gunshots, at least 150 people fled the scene.

Philadelphia Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said that around 3:45 a.m. that day, police began receiving calls about a shooting in the 4200 block of Germantown Avenue. When the police arrived, they found multiple victims .

A large number of people gathered on the streets near Miami Beach, Florida, for spring break. Most of them did not wear masks and did not pay attention to maintaining social distance. The police then rushed to try to disperse the crowd, but some people were unwilling to leave, and the scene was in chaos. In the end, the police used pepper spray to disperse the crowd.

Parades and rallies are still ongoing. When will the epidemic in the United States be brought under control?

The number of confirmed cases in the United States exceeds 30 million, and Fauci says the mutant virus is spreading rapidly in the United States

Data shows that as of 9:38 Beijing time , the United States has confirmed more than 30 million cases of COVID-19 and more than 550,000 deaths.

Recently, Fauci, an American infectious disease expert and White House chief medical adviser, said that the mutated new coronavirus discovered in the UK is spreading rapidly in the United States, and its infection level may have reached 30% of new cases , and this number will continue to grow.

Fauci said at the White House coronavirus press conference that currently all 50 states in the United States have reported confirmed cases of the variant.

U.S. health officials say the variant could become the dominant strain circulating in the United States by late March or early April.
