Amazon Business accelerates global business development

Today, Amazon announced the latest progress of Amazon Business' global business. Currently, Amazon Business serves more than 5 million corporate and institutional customers worldwide, with an estimated global annual sales of US$25 billion in 2021, of which third-party sellers account for more than 50%.

In recent years, new cross-border commercial procurement for corporate end customers has been growing strongly. Amazon Business provides a commercial procurement experience similar to "personal consumer shopping", including hundreds of millions of product options including industrial products, medical supplies, school supplies, commercial furniture and IT supplies. Currently, Amazon Business has covered nine global sites including Amazon in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan and India.

The global high-quality customer base brings more business opportunities: Amazon Business's customer base covers all walks of life, including small businesses, schools, hospitals, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and large multinational companies. Taking the United States as an example, the two fastest growing customer bases of Amazon Business are public institutions and large companies . 80% of the Fortune 100 companies are Amazon Business' customers.

Customized tools and services optimize the business procurement process: Amazon Business has launched customized tools and services to further simplify the corporate procurement process. It provides Business Prime, corporate pricing, single and multi-account services, procurement approval, procurement system integration, payment solutions, VAT invoice tools, and exclusive customer service support. For sellers, Amazon Business has launched a series of unique tools and services for enterprises, including corporate product prices and volume discounts, Amazon VAT calculation services, and traffic support.

Local services help Chinese sellers succeed: Amazon Business introduces a continuous and optimal management model for categories and supply chains, and helps sellers enter the field of bidding and inquiry opportunities for bulk goods transactions; deeply develops industrial belts to tap more high-quality Chinese products with global business procurement potential; strengthens the deployment of human resources for emerging industrial belt services to facilitate local consultation for enterprises. In recent years, many third-party sellers from China have performed well in multiple business procurement categories through Amazon Business, showing strong potential and advantages.

Last year, the epidemic caused a global shortage of medical and epidemic prevention supplies, and high-demand goods such as daily necessities also became scarce. Chinese sellers, including manufacturers, actively leveraged their production and supply chain advantages to supply standard medical and epidemic prevention supplies and high-demand goods to overseas medical and government agencies, helping to alleviate overseas material shortages.

As of the end of September last year, major domestic medical consumables export companies had cumulatively delivered about 2 billion masks of various types and nearly 60 million protective suits and surgical gowns to China and abroad. Kangbo, a high-tech company that produces smart digital medical and health products, received a $2 million order for forehead thermometers through Amazon Business Purchasing just two months after going online on Amazon, and delivered the products to overseas buyers in a very short time. In addition, many outstanding Chinese companies such as Yingke and Jingbo have contributed to the global epidemic prevention.
