Amazon video certification failed, and the account with 350,000 inventory was suspended!

Amazon video authentication is still ongoing, and sellers who bought accounts are trembling, and some have had their accounts shut down. However, there is also good news: some sellers found that the video option was no longer available when they registered new accounts.

Amazon video certification failed, and the account with 350,000 inventory was suspended

Since receiving the video verification email, many sellers have been in a state of panic. There have been reports of accounts being closed due to failure to pass the video verification.

Yesterday, a seller’s account with 350,000 items in stock was suspended because he failed the video verification . It is understood that the seller’s account was purchased, and because the legal person could not be contacted during the video verification, he was caught by Amazon and the consequences were disastrous.

350,000 inventory is not a small number. The purchased account was hard to grow and make money, but a video verification made the seller go back to the old days.

An industry insider said that this situation is almost hopeless at present, and service providers have no solution. Some service providers that accept video authentication have clearly informed customers that whether the authentication is passed or not is a matter of luck. In addition, many service providers do not accept this kind of business at all.

The seller who recently encountered this is not an isolated case. Another seller also bought an account, but failed the video verification and was blocked. In desperation, the seller was ready to give up the account and start moving warehouses and changing labels to deal with inventory.

In addition to those whose accounts were closed due to failing video verification, there are also sellers who feel even more aggrieved.

One seller said that he had made an appointment for video verification on his old account, but the verification time had not yet arrived, and the account was directly closed. What surprised the seller was that he did not receive an email stating that the video verification appointment had failed. In this way, the account was blocked unexpectedly, and the seller did not have a chance to defend himself.

There are also sellers who have the same experience. Their accounts were suspended before the video verification time. If it is not a purchased account, it is a bit cruel to receive such treatment, and the opportunity is directly deprived.

With the cases of being hacked, some sellers who bought accounts are even more anxious, especially those with high sales and large inventories. A seller with daily sales of more than 2,000 US dollars has not received the video verification email yet, but because it is a purchased account, he is very worried about triggering the verification, so the seller is planning to remove all the products from the store.

In order to prepare early, the seller has been looking for family members, relatives and acquaintances to register and reserve some new accounts.

Amazon new account registration does not have video option requirement

When registering a new account, some sellers discovered that the previously preferred video authentication method was no longer available.

A few days ago, some sellers discovered that there were new changes in registering new accounts on Amazon US. Three verification methods can be selected, and video verification is placed first.

During the live video, sellers can join the video call from any location at the selected date and time to complete the identity verification. Amazon may also send a postcard containing a one-time password to the seller’s registered address to verify the address.

Moreover, a seller found that when he conducted video verification for a new account he registered, he found that there was only one appointment time slot left , that is, there was no time slot available for video verification. At that time , some sellers speculated that it might be because there were too many sellers who needed video verification recently, and Amazon was too busy, so it had to reduce the time slot.

Now, sellers have discovered that there is no video verification option when registering a new account. One seller said that he did not encounter video verification when registering a new account in the past two days, and asked two friends around him , and they also did not encounter video verification when registering.

Therefore, some sellers in the industry speculate that Amazon may really be too busy. The customer service staff are already busy with the verification of old accounts, and they simply don’t need to do video verification for new accounts. Amazon may cancel the option of video verification for new accounts in the future. Of course, it is also possible that Amazon is very busy recently and has temporarily removed this option.

Therefore, some sellers and service providers should not take the risk of making false certificates to submit video verification and register accounts in batches. A few days ago, a seller was arrested for this.

One FBA warehouse in Canada will be closed until the end of March

Last week, Amazon just updated its inventory requirements for Canada. Starting March 4, sellers who have sold products through FBA for at least 9 months must comply with inventory storage restrictions. The inventory restrictions on Canada have been tightened, and they have begun to limit total inventory rather than just individual ASIN inventory. As a result, although Amazon has relaxed the replenishment quantity restrictions at the ASIN level, that is, the storage space for most products can cope with about 2 months of sales, for most sellers, it is almost "no need to ship any."

Now, there is another bad news from the Canadian station.

According to the latest feedback from the freight forwarder, the Canadian station has recently had difficulty in building warehouses. UPS notified that Amazon's YYZ4 warehouse needs to be fully disinfected due to the epidemic, and all employees will be quarantined for two weeks. The warehouse will be closed from midnight this Friday until March 27. The goods sent to this warehouse will be collectively delayed. "At present, the goods shipped to YYZ4 on the road will occupy warehouses everywhere." The staff said.

Canadian sellers need to adjust their delivery plans appropriately. An official at the warehouse location said, “Over the past few weeks, the infection rate of the new coronavirus has been declining throughout the region, but the infection rate in this facility has been rising significantly.”

Amazon issued two more announcements, updating its clothing image guidelines

Today, Amazon updated its apparel image style guidelines:

Amazon said that complying with the latest version requirements will help optimize sellers' images to make them most relevant and attractive to customers, thereby supporting sales. Failure to comply with platform guidelines may result in the relevant ASIN being deprioritized or banned from search.

Amazon requires sellers to display products on models (except for certain product categories) with preferred variations of different diversity attributes (such as age, skin color, or body type). Sellers should also ensure that they provide an appropriate number of image variations (including close-ups) so that customers have enough to easily make a purchasing decision.

Books are one of the most important categories on Amazon. Now, Amazon UK can create coupons through sellers to help increase the exposure of book products. Coupons can help increase product awareness and promote conversions.

Customers select a product and click "Collect Coupons" to add it to their shopping cart. The discount is automatically applied at checkout when they purchase qualifying products before the voucher expiration date.

To submit a voucher, sellers need to do the following:

Visit the Credentials homepage in Seller Central , click Create Credentials, and add the ASIN/SKU to the Credentials;

Choose a discount of at least 5%;

Enter the coupon name;

Set your campaign budget.

Sellers can schedule and target coupons to specific customer segments, including Amazon Student and Amazon Family. Coupons can also be used throughout the year to help drive sales and visibility for ASINs, making them eligible for other Lightning Deal types.
