Amazon is going to expand its FBA new product selection program, and sellers are happy!

Recently, Amazon US released an announcement, which has been gaining popularity until now, with sellers still joining the discussion intermittently. So what exactly did the announcement say?

After receiving a lot of positive feedback , Amazon announced that it will expand the FBA new selection program this year . Starting from April 1, 2021, sellers can enjoy the following benefits:

Oversized Item Eligibility: Each parent ASIN can hold up to 30 items. For eligible oversized items, Amazon will provide up to 90 days of free storage services and up to 180 days of free removal services.

Sponsored Ads: Amazon will provide promotional credits for sponsored ads to eligible sellers.

ASIN Limits: Amazon will remove the 500 ASIN inventory limit and allow an unlimited number of eligible new Amazon Logistics ASINs to enjoy the program benefits.

Applicable to apparel and footwear offers: Each parent ASIN can hold up to 100 items (previously 50 items), and for eligible parent ASINs, Amazon will extend the free storage period from 90 days to 120 days. In addition, Amazon will extend the exemption period for customer return processing fees from 120 days to 180 days, and the number of items for which customer return processing fees can be exempted for each parent ASIN will be reduced from 50 to 20.

Amazon also mentioned in the announcement that all fee waiver offers are tracked from the date the ASIN is first received by an Amazon fulfillment center .

As soon as the announcement was released, sellers showed great interest, and the discussion on the announcement content on the forum was heated:

Seller A asked, "Are these discounts only applicable to new ASINs?" Some sellers analyzed that self-fulfilled ASINs that have not yet been sold by FBA are also eligible;

Seller B is eager to try, but is still confused about whether to register for the program. According to Amazon's response, ASIN eligibility is related to the inventory receipt date rather than the creation date, and the seller needs to register for the program before the inventory is received.

Seller C stated that he was automatically registered for the program when he launched his 10 newest SKUs, hoping to save money through the program.

Seller Ding is very interested in sponsored ads and speculates that the favorable advertising policies in the announcement may encourage sellers who have not yet advertised to start advertising, and may also prompt existing advertisers to turn their attention to ASINs that have not yet advertised .
