FAQ

Q: Do I need to pay immediately after purchasing the label?

A: Shippo runs a weekly billing cycle for label purchases. During this 7-day period, any label products a user purchases will be charged to the default payment method saved in the Billing tab of their Shippo account.

Q: How long does it take to be charged/billed/invoiced?

A: Tag purchases will continue to accumulate until one of the following conditions is met:

  • Exceeded the $100 billing threshold.
  • 7 days have passed since the last invoice.
  • Meeting any of these conditions will trigger the end of the billing cycle. An invoice will then be generated and charged to the user's default payment method. Any labels purchased or refunds credited since the last invoice will be included in that invoice.

Q: Can Shippo send users monthly bills for purchased labels?

A: Label purchases will be automatically charged based on the weekly cycle described above using the default payment method saved in the user's account. Shippo does not offer alternative billing terms such as Net 30, nor does it offer monthly mailed invoices for users to pay later.

Q: In what currency will users be billed? Can I change the default currency?

A: The currency used for settlement is determined by the shipping address. The shipper address of the order will determine the currency displayed when users view the rate, and will be the currency users pay for the purchased labels. Since the currency is set by the shipping address, it cannot be changed.
