What is Amazon FBA Small and Light? Amazon FBA Small and Light Review, Features

Amazon's FBA Small and Light program is a delivery program designed for specific small and light products priced below $15. This program provides free standard delivery (4 to 5 business days) for Prime members and free delivery (6 to 8 business days) for non-Prime members.

Non-Prime customers can upgrade to four- to five-business-day shipping for $0.99, and the same items may be sold through the Small and Light program and standard Fulfillment by Amazon.

Small and Light and Standard FBA fulfillment paths require separate inbound processing. This program is currently only available in the US and UK.

Product requirements for participating in the Light Small Program

1. The price of the product does not exceed US$15;

2. Product size should not exceed 16 x 9 x 4 inches (approximately 40*22*10CM);

3. The weight of the product shall not exceed 15 ounces (approximately 425g).

Products prohibited from participating in the Small and Light Program

1. Dangerous goods;

2. Adult products;

3. Any temperature-sensitive product (e.g. chocolate);

4. Any product that is not in a brand new state;

5. Existing Amazon supplies that use the manufacturer's barcode instead of the Amazon barcode for tracking;

6. Products that were created on the platform more than 90 days ago and have sold less than 10 units in the next 4 weeks (or are expected to sell in the next 4 weeks);

7. Products with package dimensions larger than 16 inches x 9 inches x 4 inches or weighing more than 15 ounces.

advantage

1. It is not subject to the Add-on Item terms, and the rate is slightly lower than the normal FBA rate.

Small items: £0.6 (Small and Light Program), £1.34 (Standard Logistics)

Large items: £0.8 (Small and Light Program), £1.62 (Standard Logistics)

PS: The above pricing is approximate and may change depending on product specifications.

2. Non-Prime members can enjoy free delivery, which increases order conversion rate.

shortcoming

1. The seller needs to ship separately because the warehouse address of light and small commodities is different from that of standard products. Therefore, the seller needs to send a separate invoice for light and small commodities. If the first leg is not enough, the freight will be very high.

2. There is no tracking information for small and light commodities. Since the logistics of small and light commodities generally use the small package service provided by USPS, the products cannot be tracked, which may affect the buyer's shopping experience.

3. It takes longer to complete product delivery. Although the plan states that the product can be delivered within 4-6 days, sellers have observed that the pending time for products under the light and small plan is 1-2 days longer than the standard time. Some products are shipped within one day of placing an order, while others are still waiting for 5 days.

How to join Amazon's Small and Light Program? (Taking the UK site as an example)

Step 1: Log in to the seller backend and search for FBA Small and Light on the Help Page (US sellers can directly search for "Logistics Small and Light Commodity Plan");

Step 2: Before registering for Small and Light Products, sellers must pay attention to the program policies that the Small and Light Products Program must comply with, and confirm that the registered products meet the program requirements;

Step 3: Visit the "Small and Light Commodity Registration" page, download and fill in the template, and finally complete the upload.
