Diapers is the world's largest online retailer of specialty baby and toddler products.

About Diapers

The company was founded in 2005 by Marc Lore and Vinit Bharara in Montclair, New Jersey. The company was originally founded as 1800DIAPERS. The company provides consumables such as diapers, wipes and other products.

At the end of 2008, Diapers.com expanded its sales categories to include: clothing, car seats, strollers, toys, etc. Its sister sites Soap.com was founded in July 2010, BeautyBar.com was founded in October 2010, Wag.com was founded in July 2011, Yoyo.com was founded in September 2011, Casa.com was founded in February 2012, vine.com was founded in September 2012, and AfterSchool.com was founded in October 2012.

On November 8, 2010, Amazon acquired Quidsi, which operates Diapers.com and Soap.com, for $550 million. Diapers.com will continue to operate independently following an integration model similar to Amazon and Zappos.com.
