Good news! European delivery network from UK to EU restarts

Recently, Amazon stated that in order to help sellers better conduct cross-border business between the UK and the EU, from March 2022 , Amazon will restart the European Delivery Network (EFN) from the UK to the EU (Germany/France/Italy/Spain).

After that, Amazon will gradually restart its European delivery network between the EU and the UK . However, there is no news yet on whether Amazon Logistics European Integrated Service ( Pan-EU) will be restored.

In addition to restoring the European delivery network from the UK to the EU , Amazon has also launched a delivery discount campaign. Starting from March 31, 2022, Amazon will provide a one-year 20% discount on delivery costs for the European delivery network between the EU and the UK . In other words, sellers can enjoy a 20 % discount for one year .

As we all know , due to Brexit , the UK officially withdrew from the EU single market and customs union on January 1, 2021 , and a customs border was officially established between the UK and the EU.

Therefore , at the end of 2020, Amazon split its FBA business into European business and UK business. The UK's original European distribution network and pan-European plan also came to an end.

Under this change , sellers operating in the UK and other European websites must store their products in Amazon's warehouses in the UK and the EU to ensure that these products are available in both the UK and EU countries. For these sellers, this change has increased inventory pressure, increased transportation and delivery costs, and is not conducive to the circulation of inventory.

Amazon may also be aware of the importance of the European delivery network between the UK and the EU . Last September, a seller received an email from Amazon. The email content showed that from November 2021, Amazon began to open a European delivery network from the UK to the EU for invited sellers. After a few months, Amazon finally opened this service to the majority of sellers.

It should be noted that in order for sellers to use the European delivery network to sell goods between the UK and the EU, they must meet the following requirements:

1. You can use both UK and EU seller platform accounts at the same time;

2. Publish product information for your own products in the UK and any or all EU stores;

3. Have eligible products in stock in the UK or EU fulfilment centre;

4. Enable the Amazon Logistics "Delivery Plan and Export Settings" in the destination country;

5. Activate the European delivery network between the UK and the EU;

6. The goods must meet the import and export requirements of the UK and the EU, and some products also need to provide relevant qualification documents;

7. The same SKU exists in both the UK and EU sites .
