FasterPay also provides optimized payment solutions for online customers. Customers only need to register and bind a bank card, IBAN account or use a digital IBAN account to experience FasterPay's fast payment experience.
FasterPay’s History
2012
The idea of creating a UK digital wallet intrigued FasterPay founder and CEO Honor Gunday, so he bought the rights to the name from a previously operated digital wallet.
2016
It was a big year for FasterPay as we received our FCA license in the UK.
2017
Unlike other digital wallets, we act as an honest intermediary between consumers and merchants, ensuring that transactions are completed to the satisfaction of both parties. In 2017, FasterPay’s first team was formed and the product was coded by a group of experts, while leaving room for experimentation, trial and error.
July 2018
FasterPay onboarded the first batch of merchants and experienced tremendous growth in the first month.
August 2018
The company became financially sustainable without external investment. To mark this success, the FasterPay team has grown in multiple countries.
September 2018
It's time for a new feature! Recurring Billing. It's launched for merchants who want to implement subscription payments for their services or products. At the same time, the FasterPay team has expanded again to new offices in Bangalore and Delhi, India.
October 2018
New Logo Released! Lightning. Founder and CEO Honor Gunday said: "Lightning represents the entrepreneurial spirit and the human desire to buy things, both of which are events that can happen anywhere, at any time. Lightning does not discriminate, it can strike anywhere, any time, just like our merchants can do business anywhere in the world and still use FasterPay thanks to our global onboarding, our global language support and currencies; buyers can be anyone from anywhere. Transactions happen in a second and are captured by FasterPay." The company also made its conference debut at ITB Asia in Singapore, followed by Money 20/20 in Las Vegas.
November 2018
We made our UK debut at the World Travel Market, introducing ourselves to over 50,000 attendees.
January 2019
We launched a striking new logo, switching from a 2D lightning bolt surrounded by a circle to a 3D lightning bolt showcasing different shades of yellow and orange. We are always looking for ways to push ourselves and refine who we are as a brand. The updated logo is dynamic and modern, and we are associating these two words with the FasterPay brand.
