Amazon has issued a new announcement: How to deal with the stranded inventory after Brexit...

Recently, Amazon FBA released a new announcement that Amazon’s new automatic removal settings will be used to fix stranded inventory in the EU and the UK.

Let’s take a look at the content of this announcement:

To help you manage stranded FBA inventory stored in the EU and UK after Brexit, you can opt in to new automatic removal settings.

you can:

1. Enter a local returns address for stock stored in the UK and a separate local returns address for stock stored in EU countries.

2. Enter a local returns address for stock stored in the UK, and choose to process stock stored in EU countries where you do not have a local returns address (or vice versa).

3. Choose to dispose of stocks stored in the UK and other EU countries.

But the prerequisite is to check and update the current automatic settings, then go to Manage Inventory -> Fix Stranded Inventory -> Edit Automatic Action Settings .

In the pop-up window, you can choose whether to return the stranded inventory or dispose of it, and edit the "Days before auto-removal" setting to speed up automatic removal.

If you do not have a local return address saved, the disposition option will be selected for you as your default setting, and you will be asked to confirm this in settings when you first log into the Fix Stranded Inventory page.

Here, the editor needs to remind all sellers to update your settings to your preferred configuration before August 15, 2021. The purpose of doing this is to avoid the processing of stranded inventory .

If you don’t have a local return address, you can use the Amazon Service Provider Network to connect with trusted local providers who can help you with international shipping or storage space issues for your inventory.

And it’s important to note that the seller will be responsible for negotiating prices, contracts, and delivery schedules with these suppliers.

All sellers must check and update the current automatic settings as soon as possible, and ensure that the settings are updated to the preferred configuration before August 15, so as to ensure that stranded inventory is returned in time and reduce inventory losses.
