In recent years, a live streaming wave has swept across all industries, especially the e-commerce sector.

 

According to statistics from Coresight Research, although the U.S. e-commerce live streaming market is still in its infancy, it is expected that its sales will exceed US$25 billion in 2023. As the first country where live streaming emerged, China's live streaming business may even drive sales of approximately US$125 billion in 2020, up from US$63 billion in 2019.



Therefore, the independent website building platform Shopify also cooperated with Spin Live to launch live broadcast services early on, and is constantly expanding the scope and methods of its live broadcast services.

 

According to a report on the Smallcaps website on March 22, Nuffnang Live Commerce, a subsidiary of social commerce platform provider Netccentric , has successfully integrated with Shopify , helping more than 1 million Shopify merchants sell products through live broadcasts .



Nuffnang Live Commerce is a live commerce platform developed by Netccentric and launched in 2020. It aims to help merchants directly convert consumers' live interactive comments into sales through automated backend solutions for live selling . For example, when a customer comments "+1" during a live broadcast , they can immediately jump to the shopping cart to add items and then prepare to check out.


According to Netccentric, Nuffnang’s integration with Shopify will provide merchants with a way to automatically capture new orders , customers details, and live sales data from live broadcasts , and be able to sync the information to the backend of the Shopify store as soon as the customer completes the payment .

 

Ganesh Kumar Bangah, executive chairman of Netccentric , believes that this integration will allow Shopify sellers to " quickly get started with live streaming sales in a convenient and seamless integrated way ." Nuffnang can also earn revenue by charging Shopify merchants transaction fees and future subscription fees .

 

However, Shopify is just the first of Nuffnang Live Commerce’s plans to integrate with “several” e-commerce platforms .

 

Netccentric said that through integration with existing large-scale e-commerce platforms, Netccentric will be able to further develop the potential to increase user engagement and 'stickiness' of Nuffnang Live Commerce .
