As a fashion online platform, SHEIN is very popular among Generation Z. Last year, its user base reached 75 million, an increase of more than 30 million in one year, which was also the largest growth in its history.

 

Today, SHEIN is one of the most downloaded apps in Europe and the most visited online fashion platform in the world, followed by Nike and Zara, which have an average of 110 million visits per month .

 

SHEIN has been downloaded 198.4 million times worldwide, with approximately 214 million visits per month. According to Statista , the average time a SHEIN user spends on a visit is approximately 8 minutes .

 

SHEIN is also one of the top 10 most "liked" brands on Instagram , with 31.5 million likes . SHEIN's "shooping hauls" on TikTok with the hashtag #sheinhaul has 4.8 billion views , and the caption #SHEIN has generated more than 6.2 billion views . At the same time, there are more than 57,000 influencers talking about SHEIN on Instagram .

 

Currently, SHEIN's products are sold in more than 220 countries, while other fast fashion giants such as Zara only have operations in 96 countries.

It is worth noting that Emplifi pointed out in its analysis of the Mexican market that SHEIN has become the preferred brand for the back-to-school season here.

 

According to Statista, online sales in Mexico exceeded $33 billion in 2022, making it the second largest e-commerce market in Latin America , after Brazil. The main reasons why Mexicans decide to buy fashion products through Internet platforms are comfort, price and convenience.

 

In 2022, the apparel segment had the largest number of fashion e-commerce users in Mexico, with the second and third-ranked shoes and accessories segments having 27.3 million and 21.7 million users, respectively.

 

According to Statista Digital Market Outlook, the number of users in all segments is expected to increase in the coming years. Meanwhile, the Mexican Association of Online Sales (AMVO) predicts that e-commerce sales in Mexico will double from 2020's 316 billion pesos by 2024.

 

In addition, six of the top 10 unicorn e-commerce and direct sales companies in the world with the highest market value are in China, and SHEIN is the top-ranked platform.
