An Amazon seller told me that several of his accounts were affected, and the platform clearly stated that the reason for the credit card failure was that the financial institution could not verify the billing address or zip code entered. For charging and security purposes, Amazon sellers must maintain a valid payment method in their files. If you believe that you have entered the correct credit card information and the credit card is valid, you need to contact your bank or financial institution for more help.

 

To this end, he followed the instructions of the platform, checked the background address and the credit card bill address, and confirmed with the financial institution that there was no problem with the address and zip code, and the credit card was normal ...

In other words, if the seller wants to solve the problem, he needs to check the above points one by one to eliminate the problems. A business manager gave a detailed self-checking step, as follows:

 

1. The affected sellers must ensure that the information they fill in is completely consistent with the information reserved by the bank, including card number, name, phone number, zip code, and address (filled in English or pinyin). In particular, check whether the default charging address information is the same as the billing address of this card. If different, please click "Add New Address" and fill in the new address information in English or pinyin;

2. The billing address entered should be consistent with the billing address reserved by the bank;

3. The CVV code you enter should be consistent with the code on the credit card; confirm the validity of the credit card, such as whether it has expired, and the validity period should not be less than 6 months;

4. You need to use a credit or debit card that can be used for international payments (AMEX, VISA and Master Card are all acceptable, VISA is recommended, the platform does not accept other payment methods, such as prepaid cards, gift certificates, checks or online payment systems (PayPal);

5. Confirm that the credit card has been activated for the local currency of the destination country;

6. Confirm that the credit card limit is sufficient and there are no restrictions on online or mail order payments;

7. Check whether the credit card has not been used for a long time. If it has not been used for a long time, contact the bank to reactivate the card. If it is a new card, you need to make sure there is a successful consumption record.

8. If the financial institution where the bank card is located requires the seller to enter a verification code, make sure that the correct verification code is entered.

 

In addition, if the seller's credit card self-check finds that the credit card does not meet the requirements, please update the credit card information in the background. If there is still an "invalid" error, please change the credit card. In terms of changing the card type, for example, use Visa Card first, and after an invalid error is reported, please change to Master Card; in terms of changing the bank card's bank, for example, use the Bank of China card first, and after an invalid error is reported, change to a credit card or debit card from another bank.

 

After checking that there is no problem with the credit card, it is generally recommended to try to resubmit the original credit card. If it does not work the first time, submit it a few more times, or avoid submitting during the withdrawal period.
