What is Amazon Moments? Amazon Moments Review, Features

Amazon Moments is a service program released by Amazon that allows developers to send physical gifts to consumers through platforms such as iOS, Android, and Fire OS. The program was launched in February 2019 and is currently in testing.


About Amazon Moments

"Amazon Moments" is a marketing rewards program launched by Amazon specifically for publishers and developers such as Sesame Workshop, TikTok and The Washington Post. Through the program, these publishers and developers can use Amazon to send prizes to their audience users.


How it works

Publishers or developers can ask users to perform a certain action on their app or website and then give them gifts. For example, if users are required to listen to music for a total of 20 hours in a certain period of time, they will receive a free headphone link from the music subscription service provider. Through this link, users can get the headphones for free on Amazon. Of course, the prerequisite is that the user must have an Amazon account.


Test subjects

Amazon Moments is now available in the United States, with The Washington Post, TikTok, Sony Crackle, Sesame Street, Bravo, USA Today, Sago Mini and Bell Canada being the first companies to test the service.

Note: The Amazon Moments tool is mainly aimed at mobile app developers and publishers, not merchants on Amazon.


Amazon Moments activity process

Amazon Moments uses a pay-per-action (CPA) pricing model, so you only pay when users complete actions that are important to your business.

Amazon Moments campaigns have three core steps:

1. You can set the action or "Moment" to be performed, select the product or reward package, and integrate the Moment API;

2. Users engage and complete actions in your apps and websites;

3. Amazon publishes the reward URL and redeems the reward.

             


Fees

Amazon charges developers based on CPA (cost per action), that is, charging based on the number of users downloading, registering, or achieving goals.

1. The Amazon Moments rewards catalog provides access to millions of products, including some of Amazon’s most popular products as well as reward packages (such as plush toys), allowing your customers to choose their favorite products.

2. Amazon Moments has a unique ability to increase ROI, and the flexible CPA pricing model allows you to set your own costs that do not exceed the customer lifetime value (LTV). For example, if keeping an active customer is worth $50, you can set a high-value action and offer a $40 headphone kit with a suitable margin of error. In addition, customer targeting allows you to customize rewards based on the LTV of each user group. You can offer a $5 reward to new users, a $25 reward to active customers, and a $200 reward to the highest consumers.
