Is Amazon's PD traffic going to be snatched away? Walmart and Target are both competing for it

As Amazon's summer sale is held as scheduled, Walmart and Target have also announced the time of their own membership activities, and brought more favorable activities than Amazon.

Last week, Amazon officially announced the date of its Prime Day event. This member-only mid-year event, launched in 2015, has been expanded from the original one day to the current two days (six days in Mexico).

Amazon's Prime Day is scheduled for July 11 and 12 (except for some sites). It has already started to offer some Amazon-operated products to Prime members, such as special prices for Amazon Kindle, Fire TV, Ring cameras and Ring doorbells. The current annual fee for Prime members is $139 and the monthly fee is $14.99.

Not to be outdone, Walmart scheduled Walmart + Week from July 10 to July 13 , including Prime Day. Although Walmart + also requires a membership fee, it only costs $98 a year, or $13 a month.

Target, the "king of discounts" , scheduled its Target Circle Days from July 9 to July 15, which not only included the promotion time of Amazon and Walmart, but also lasted longer than the latter two . This extra shopping time will certainly be welcomed because it allows shoppers to have more time to compare the products they want to buy and get more favorable prices.

Although the three companies are competitors, there is one thing they all agree on, which is cost saving.

Amazon Prime Day is only open to Amazon Prime members . In addition to participating through eligible friends, you can also get a 30-day trial by signing up for Amazon Prime, which can be cancelled after the event ends.

Walmart + Week's promotions will also be available to its own members first, but will be open to Walmart customers on July 11. Although some popular items will be sold out within the first 24 hours, there will still be a lot of discounts available to other customers. Walmart + offers free grocery delivery, no minimum delivery fee for orders, fuel discounts, free Paramount + streaming service, and the convenience of scanning and shopping and checkout.

Target Circle Week is also only open to its own Target Circle members. But Target Circle is a free loyalty program, and no matter when users sign up, they can participate in this week-long promotion . Target brands have discounts of up to 50% on Sun Squad, Good & Gather and Cat & Jack, and every time shoppers spend $40 in beauty and health categories, they can get a $10 gift card from the platform. When shoppers buy household necessities, they can receive a $15 gift card.
