As more and more people have furry friends at home, the pet economy is also on the rise. These pet owners regard their pets as family members and plan to prepare surprises for their pets this Christmas.

On TikTok, a product selection trendsetter, the topic of pet gifts has also become popular recently, with some videos having tens of millions of views. On TikTok, the most common Christmas gifts for pets are Christmas hats, Christmas clothes, and pet brand collars. Some clever pet owners also choose to knit a sweater for their pets or DIY a special brand.

When searching for the term Christmas gifts for Pets on Google Trends , it was found that the countries with the highest search popularity for this term in the past three months were the United Kingdom and the United States. In the United States, the popularity of pet Christmas gifts reached a peak several times in November.

The American Pet Products Association study also found that younger people and those with higher incomes are more likely to buy holiday gifts for their pets. Among Generation Z, about 63% of pet owners plan to buy gifts for their pets.

The pet economy isn’t just developing in the U.S.; pet care markets are also growing in Europe and Asia, according to GlobalData.
