Small and medium-sized sellers are making efforts! 60% of Amazon's sales come from independent sellers

Currently , more than 60% of sales on Amazon’s platform come from independent sellers most of which are small and medium-sized businesses. According to the report, independent sellers are increasing the number of products they sell on Amazon every year.

 

These data show that the cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises and Amazon has been very successful , and these enterprises are still able to thrive and be resilient in a challenging economic environment .

 

Additionally, the report showed that independent sellers sold more than 4.1 billion products in Amazon stores in 2022 an average of 7,800 products per minute .



On the other hand, small and medium-sized enterprises that started businesses on Amazon have also created approximately 1.5 million jobs in the United States, including management, operations, and supply chain positions .

 

Small and medium-sized businesses are at the heart of our platform and the backbone of the U.S. economy, said Dhamesh Mehta , vice president of Amazon’s global selling partner services .

 

Amazon invests billions of dollars every year, hoping to provide entrepreneurs with a set of ever-improving tools to help them quickly open stores on the platform , build their brands, and quickly scale up to reach more customers.

 

According to the report, Amazon provides brand sellers with a unique set of services and tools in order to help more sellers achieve branding . Data shows that last year, brand sellers' sales on the Amazon platform increased by more than 20% year-on-year.
