Domestic toys recalled, involving Amazon, Wish and other platforms

Recently, the British government announced the recall of a series of products that were of substandard quality or posed safety hazards, including a large number of domestic toy products, involving multiple platforms such as Amazon, eBay, and Wish.

The recalled products are as follows:

1. EARSOON baby bath toys on Amazon

The recall is for a blue elephant -shaped baby bath toy with a yellow hose and four suction cups that allow the elephant to stick to the tub during bath time . The recall number is 2109-0188.

The UK Office of Product Safety and Standards found during testing that the product was easily broken into small cylindrical parts, which could be put into the mouths of young children, posing a serious choking risk. The product did not comply with the relevant requirements of the Toy Safety Regulations 2011 and has been recalled from consumers. The product link has also been removed from Amazon.

2. Wish LED Christmas Hat

Almost a month has passed since Christmas, and there are still Christmas products being recalled. The product being recalled on the Wish platform is a red felt Santa hat with white trim and pompoms, a white felt reindeer on the front of the hat, and LED lights and button batteries inside .

The UK Office of Product Safety and Standards believes that the button battery in the LED light of this product is easily accessible to young children and may be put into the mouth and swallowed. Therefore, the product is determined to have high chemical risk, injury and choking risks. The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005 and has been removed from the platform.

3. Joom Platform LED Flashing Light Bear Plush Toy

The recalled product is a white plush teddy bear with a pink bow tie and a colorful LED light inside its body . The recall number is 2111-0496.

The UK Office of Product Safety and Standards believes that the stuffing inside the doll can easily be taken out and swallowed by young children, thereby blocking their breathing and posing a serious risk of suffocation. This product does not comply with the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011 and has been removed from the platform.

Other recalled products include wrist bells, building block toys, etc. It has to be said that the toy industry has frequent recalls, especially for some toys suitable for young children. Because these children are mentally immature, they can easily swallow some small parts when playing with toys. Sellers in this category must be extremely cautious when producing products to avoid recall crises.
