Amazon Inspire is now open for testing in the US, and sellers can also play with it like this!

It is understood that Amazon has been testing the Inspire function since December last year. This function is similar to TikTok. Users can swipe up and down to browse more short videos.

After the launch of the Inspire function, consumers can find the products they want to buy by watching videos. These videos are usually edited and produced by merchants, influencers or some interested consumers.

After testing, it was found that in order to use the Inspire function, you must first open the Amazon APP, then log in to your account, and then click the Inspire icon in the bottom navigation bar.

After entering, the system will prompt users to select categories of interest from more than 20 categories, including makeup, skin care, pets, games, plants, hiking, interior design, travel, running, etc. After the selection is completed, the system will push relevant content based on the category selected by the user.

After entering the video playback interface, users can scroll up and down to browse different videos, and double-click the screen to like, which is similar to the logic of most short video platforms.

If you see a product that interests you, you can click the button below the video to jump to Amazon's product page to place an order, which is very convenient.

In addition, Amazon has also launched its own creator program. After registering for the Amazon Influencer program, some Internet celebrities can send their own product promotion videos to Inspire. If a consumer places an order through this video, the creator can receive a corresponding commission.

In addition to creators, sellers can also upload their own product videos, which is equivalent to opening a new traffic entrance.

Based on the relevant experience of operating TikTok and the characteristics of Amazon Inspire, sellers can seize the traffic dividend in advance through the following methods:

1. Cooperate with influencers. Instead of working hard to make videos on your own, the effect of cooperating with influencers is more immediate. In addition, Amazon sellers used to be able to find influencers to promote their products only outside the site, and it took several jumps to achieve conversion. After the launch of Inspire, promotion can be done on the site, which greatly improves the conversion rate.

2. Release a video matrix to promote your products. Of course, if all the videos are shot by the buyer themselves, I am afraid that the time and energy will not allow it. Therefore, sellers can try to find similar videos from Douyin and TikTok in China, edit them again and publish them directly on Inspire.

3. Watch TikTok more often to see what kind of video styles Americans like. If the Inspire function becomes popular in the future, sellers can hire a full-time short video operator, and the videos produced can be uploaded to Inspire, TikTok and Youtube simultaneously.

However, Amazon has been wanting to develop social e-commerce business for a long time. Amazon has also tried to imitate Pinterest and Instagram before, but both ended in failure. So how far Inspire can go in the future needs further observation.
