A listing that you have worked hard on for a long time can be ruined by just one bad review, and it will be difficult to recover.
Recently, a seller on Amazon US encountered such a thing.
It is understood that an American mother bought a bottle heater on Amazon, but the bottle was burned when she used it for the first time, and the milk powder inside was directly scrapped.
In a fit of anger, the mother gave the bottle warmer a one-star bad review and wrote about her experience in tears. However, the matter did not end there. The mother later filmed a video and uploaded it to TikTok, saying that the company had sent her four emails and "bribed" her to delete the negative reviews in the emails.
"And the content of the emails felt more and more like a threat." She later reviewed the entire incident in detail, saying that she originally bought the heater to warm milk for her baby when traveling.
I followed the instructions exactly when using it, but the bottle got burned after just a few minutes of use, and part of the heater turned black.
"It's really terrible to encounter such a thing while traveling. If I can only give one star, I really want to give no star at all."
Some time later, she received an email from a random mailbox saying that if she could delete the negative review, she would be given $20, but the mother ignored it.
After a while, the second email came, but it was sent to another email address. This time the amount was doubled to $40.
Some netizens said that if it were them, they would not be able to resist and take the money, but some netizens suggested that she write another review to expose the seller's "bribery" behavior. At the end of the video, the mother said she would not accept the money and would not delete her comment. However, she did know why this store had so many "good reviews".
Through this incident, it is conceivable that this store will also use some means to "get" good reviews, which has destroyed the fair competition environment of the platform.
This kind of behavior will discourage those sellers who spend energy researching and polishing their products. If they can improve their rankings by taking shortcuts, who would be stupid enough to do such thankless tasks?
However, the platform has now increased its supervision of the behavior of brushing positive reviews and has cracked down on many third-party organizations that make a living by brushing positive reviews. In the future, the best strategy is to focus on polishing excellent products. Amazon Seller |
