Unlike the current situation of Amazon and other companies laying off employees at the beginning of the year, many cross-border e-commerce companies in China have begun to recruit people with high salaries. Many of them have increased the number of recruitments and the salary has also been improved. The recruitment in the cross-border circle seems to have picked up. Well-known e-commerce companies such as Anker, Savi, SHEIN, and Aoki have all offered high salaries to recruit people for the company's development; but there are also many loss-making e-commerce companies that are reducing recruitment, such as Youkeshu and Paton.

 

Anker Innovations: Most popular in Shenzhen, with a maximum salary of 17

 

As a leader in the industry, Anker's movements have always been the focus of many sellers. According to data from Liepin.com , Anker currently has 903 positions open , mainly recruiting experienced people in Shenzhen, Changsha, Guangzhou and other places with high salaries, including sales supervisors, product directors, senior software engineers and other positions. Anker offers 14 or even 17 salaries, with the highest annual salary reaching one million to attract outstanding employees.

 

Taking the operation positions in Shenzhen as an example, Anker mainly recruits positions such as brand independent station operation, TikTok marketing experts, and overseas user growth operation, with monthly salaries ranging from 20K to 40K, with a maximum of 16 salaries throughout the year, and an annual salary of up to 640,000. However, in Changsha, the operation positions recruited are mainly basic operations, with monthly salaries ranging from 6K to 20K, and many positions only pay 12 months' salary. In Guangzhou, the operation recruitment is mainly domestic operations.

 

In addition, Anker also has some popular positions in these cities, such as TikTok marketing experts in Shenzhen, with a monthly salary of 30K-35K, 14 salaries throughout the year, and an annual salary of up to 490,000; independent station operation managers in Changsha, with a monthly salary of 25K-35K, and an annual salary of up to 35K.

 

SHEIN: Over 1,000 positions are being recruited, with the highest annual salary exceeding one million

 

In 2022, SHEIN's recruitment demand increased by 38% year-on-year, and the average salary also increased to 75%. In 2023, SHEIN is still actively recruiting. Not only do employees start internal referrals, but recruitment data on multiple websites has exploded. According to the data from Zhiyouji, SHEIN currently has 1,149 recruitment positions, involving technology, manufacturing, operations and other positions, covering multiple cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Foshan.

 

What has attracted much attention in the industry is that the monthly salary of the buyer director position currently being recruited in Guangdong Province is 90K-95K, with 13 salaries throughout the year, and the highest annual salary is 1.23 million, which can easily make an annual income of over one million. In addition, technical talents are also the most scarce in SHEIN. The senior Java position in Nanjing offers a monthly salary of 20K-35K, with 13 salaries throughout the year, and the highest annual salary is over 450,000.

 

But in comparison, there is a big gap in salaries at SHEIN. The highest base salary for high-paying positions is over 40K, while the base salary for some basic positions in second- and third-tier cities is only 4K, which is a big gap.

 

Savitech: Recruiting fresh graduates starting from 200,000 yuan

 

Compared with Anker and SHEIN, Savitime does not recruit many positions, with only 85 positions on Liepin.com, mainly technical engineers, clothing buyers and operations. Among them, overseas new media operations have a higher salary, and Savitime offers a monthly salary of 13K-18K, 14 salaries throughout the year, and the highest annual salary exceeds 250,000.

 

Like SHEIN, Savi Times is also recruiting clothing buyers. The educational requirement is not that high, just a college degree, with a monthly salary of 12K-17K, 13 salaries throughout the year, and the highest annual salary is over 220,000.

 

But there is another point worth noting about Savitech's recruitment, which is that it has started recruiting graduates before the New Year, mainly recruiting management trainees in software, hardware, machinery and other categories, with a comprehensive annual salary of more than 200,000. The requirements for these management trainees in Savitech are bachelor's degree or above, graduates from 985 and 211 universities are preferred, and they have won awards in related majors.

 

Aoji Technology: Product positions offer the best salaries

 

At present, Aoktech has 55 job openings on a certain website. In addition to some basic positions, the salaries offered by some of the positions Aoktech is recruiting are also very attractive, especially for product positions. For example, the monthly salary for product development manager is 25K-45K, the monthly salary for product development director is 40K-50K, and the monthly salary for product manager is 40K-70K. These positions are recruited in Shenzhen and Ningbo.

 

Yibai Network: Outsourcing customer service team to save costs

 

Unlike many companies that saw a sharp drop in net profits in 2022, Yibai Network's 2022 performance forecast delivered a perfect answer sheet. It single-handedly turned Huakai Yibai from loss to profit. There is a high possibility that Yibai Network will complete the bet in 2022, and its vigorous recruitment seems to be accumulating strength for the later period.

 

At present, Yibai Network has 470 hot positions on a certain recruitment website, mainly in operations, marketing, development and other positions, and the salary fluctuation is not too large. However, Yibai Network seems to be well aware of the principle of cost saving. In addition to Shenzhen, Yibai Network is also recruiting operations and customer service employees in Chengdu and Wuhan.

 

Gonglang Network: Layout of Tianjin Market

 

Many sellers may not know about Gonglang Network, a low-key online retailer founded in 2011 with its headquarters in Shenzhen. It currently sells apparel, home furnishings, outdoor activities, beauty products, 3C products and other products on multiple platforms including Amazon and eBay, and has its own warehousing systems in Shenzhen and abroad.

 

At present, there are only 44 job openings on a certain website , mainly for operations, product development and clothing buyers, and the salaries offered are not high, basically between 3K-25K. However, Gonglang Network has already begun to deploy in Tianjin, not only adjacent to the industrial belt, but also has a relatively superior shipping location at Tianjin Port.

 

Although the above-mentioned big sellers have been actively recruiting since the beginning of the year to plan for future development, some big sellers did not release many job positions after the new year. Some even reduced their recruitment to one position. This should be related to the revenue losses of many companies last year. This year, they are more concerned about maintaining their basic position.

 

For example, the well-known Youkeshu brand only posted one position on a certain website, which is a product specialist. The salary offered is only 6K-8K. In the relevant experience requirements, there is no bachelor's degree or above, relevant certificates and 3-5 years of work experience as required by the above-mentioned big sellers. It only requires a college degree or above and experience within one year.

 

After the new year, Shenzhen's big seller Paton only released one recruitment position, which is Amazon operations. The requirements are similar to those of general companies, with a salary of 7K-10K. The experience requirement for this position is 1-3 years, and the educational requirement is a bachelor's degree.

 

Another major selling chain also only released one position. The same is true for more small and medium-sized sellers. After experiencing the economic baptism in 2022, they implemented a conservative strategy in 2023, choosing to stick to the basics and not recruiting aggressively. Relevant sellers should recruit personnel based on their own needs, and should also focus more on the cultivation of outstanding talents in order to seek longer-term development.
