Sellers: Profits squeezed again Regarding this wave of fee changes, Amazon said that in December 2020, Amazon decided to postpone the annual fee adjustment plan to the spring of 2021 to help sellers smoothly overcome the challenges of the epidemic . In 2020, Amazon incurred more than $5 billion in costs related to the new crown pneumonia, and it is expected to continue to incur billions of dollars in such costs in the first half of 2021. In short, Amazon is very good to sellers and has helped them share a lot of pressure and costs. However, in the eyes of many sellers, this fee adjustment has greatly increased the cost burden. A: I question the increase as it is an average of 2-3%. On most items my fees went up by 8%! B: Amazon keeps giving back to its customers …and taking money from our hard-working sellers! C: Costs rise again, and corresponding profits become lower again, but sales volume does not increase. D: I hope there won’t be a price war like in China, otherwise it will be very difficult for small and medium-sized sellers … What do you think about this fee adjustment?
