Wish launches "Introduction to Wish" video series, CEO shares the latest developments in transformation process

On July 1 , Beijing time , ContextLogic Inc., the parent company of global mobile e-commerce platform Wish, released the first episode of the video series "Introduction to Wish". In this video series, Wish CEO Vijay Talwar introduced the latest developments of the company's transformation process through a one- to two-minute video, and will release subsequent videos of this series every few weeks on WeChat Video Account, YouTube , LinkedIn and Twitter channels.

 

In this video series, Vijay will share some of the changes Wish is going through: from enhancing the experience of merchants and users to shifting the company culture towards a user-centric direction. The video content will also involve personal anecdotes, what he saw and heard, and lessons learned during the company's transformation.

 

“‘Into Wish’ is about creating an open dialogue with our audience. We are in a period of significant transformation and we want our audience to be part of it and play a role in our transformation,” said Vijay. “In each weekly video, I will answer questions, listen to suggestions, share my candid thoughts, and give my perspective on our strengths and weaknesses .

 

Viewers can email Vijay questions, or share video ideas, thoughts and feedback, which Wish will use as reference in subsequent videos.

 

Vijay continued, “When I first joined the company, I said, ‘I believe that the best days of Wish are ahead of us. ’ I still believe that today. We have a long way to go to realize this vision, and we will produce more ‘Inside Wish’ videos to share with everyone. At this historic stage of transformation for the company, it is important to me that this series of videos allows everyone to experience each step of our transformation as if they were there firsthand, which is very important to me.”

 

Last year, Wish first announced its transformation plan. So far, key events in the company's transformation include:

A new executive team was formed In addition to Vijay, Wish also appointed a new chief product officer, chief technology officer, and chief financial officer.

· Launch of Wish Standards — a more comprehensive and detailed merchant incentive program designed to further improve the merchant and user experience on the Wish platform.

· Market rationalization – Wish exited 79 markets in order to invest more and optimize the user experience in its 61 key markets.

Merchant invitation system - All new Wish merchants must go through a screening process and pass the review before they can officially join the Wish platform.

Wish Clips short video shopping — a new short video shopping feature launched on the Wish mobile app.

New homepage design - Currently, Android app users can more easily discover trending products, browse recommended products, and find the latest offers through the new homepage design. The new homepage design will also be launched on the iOS app later.
