According to foreign media reports, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently announced the recall of several children's products , most of which were originated in China.
The first model to be recalled is the Times Tienda children's desk and chair, with the recall number 22-166 . The reason for the recall is that the surface paint on the desk and chair contains lead content that exceeds the US federal lead paint ban, which easily poses a risk of lead poisoning. If young children accidentally ingest it, it may cause adverse health effects.
Since the product was launched, about 700 sets have been sold, priced between US$ 20 and US$25 . As of the recall, no accident reports have been received for this product, but the CPSC has called on consumers to immediately stop using this children's desk and chair and return it to the brand for a full refund.
According to the recall instructions, the recalled tables and chairs are produced in China. The tables are available in blue, pink and green. The product numbers are printed on labels on the bottom of the tables and chairs . Both tables and chairs have metal folding legs.
The second product to be recalled is the Xylophone xylophone toy, with recall number 22-167 , because the legs of the xylophone may loosen and fall off, posing a choking hazard to young children. This product is also made in China .
The toy, which comes with multi-colored keys and wooden percussion sticks and is suitable for children aged 10 months and older, has sold about 450 units since it was launched , priced at about $3.
Similarly, no incident reports have been received regarding this children's toy . The remedy for this recall is that buyers need to contact the merchant to return the product for a full refund.
The third product to be recalled is Loulou Lollipop children's pajamas , with the recall number 22-165 . The reason for the recall is that the pajamas do not meet the tight flammability standards for children's pajamas and there is a risk of burns to children.
It is reported that the children's pajamas are made in China and are made of 66% Tencel Lycra fiber , 28% organic cotton and 6% spandex . There are 19 printed styles and they are sold in two children's sizes , 12-18M and 18-24M . The size and purchase number are printed on the neck. The purchase numbers of this recall are SS22-GR-APP-001 and AW2021-APP001.
Since it was launched, the children's pajamas have sold about 1,300 pairs , priced between $ 29 and $38 .
As of the recall, no incident reports had been received for this type of pajamas , but for safety reasons, the CPSC requires consumers to return the recalled pajamas immediately , or destroy them and send pictures of the destruction to the brand, and the seller needs to refund the full amount.
"Made in China" products frequently have problems, which has a negative impact on the international reputation of Chinese brands. The United States has even stepped up its "monitoring" of safety issues of Chinese products. Sellers must always pay attention to product dynamics and relevant laws and regulations to prevent losses. made in China recall |
