Top selling categories for Prime Day 2022
Among them, clothing and footwear products are in the highest demand, with 35% of American consumers choosing to buy them, a decrease from 38% last year.
The second largest category is home decoration products. Home decoration products have always been very popular in the US market. This year, 19% of consumers will buy home decoration products on Prime Day , compared with 24% last year.

It is worth noting that the demand for home fitness equipment has dropped very quickly this year, from 13% last year to 8%. The reason may be that with the relaxation of epidemic control, more consumers choose outdoor fitness.
According to RetailMeNot , despite rising inflation this year, prices on Amazon Prime Day products were on par with those on Black Friday last year .

61 % of respondents said they might spend less this summer due to inflation . Consumers plan to reduce spending on dining out, personal shopping, entertainment, travel, and subscription membership services. Among them, 61% of consumers plan to reduce personal shopping spending .
This year's Prime Day will be held from July 12 to July 13. Unlike the expected popularity, the average spending of American consumers has decreased this year. At the same time, some sellers have reserved their expectations for this year's Prime Day . However, as Amazon's annual promotion , if sellers make good layout of key categories based on consumer needs, there is still a chance of explosive sales. Prime Day Hot selling categories |
