Beware! Many products on Amazon and other platforms have been urgently recalled

As we all know, foreign regulatory agencies attach great importance to product safety. Once safety hazards are discovered, the products will be recalled and removed from the shelves immediately.

Recently, the Canadian Ministry of Health announced an emergency recall of three products sold on Amazon, Costco and Dollarama platforms, mainly involving lamps, flashlights and supplements.

The first product to be recalled is a Camp brand oil lamp that measures 10.5 x 5 x 5 inches with a clear glass globe, an adjustable flat wick, and has a product code of 14-3080923 and UPC 667888386420.

It is understood that this product was sold on the Dollarama platform from February 2020 to May 2022, and 47,025 units have been sold in Canada so far.

Health Canada said the lamp lacked child-resistant packaging and adequate labeling information, which could result in children accidentally coming into contact with the product and ingesting parts, leading to serious illness, injury or death.

As of May 17, 2022, Health Canada has received one incident report.

The second recalled product is the M2R Pro and Warrior Mini flashlights. The M2R Pro flashlight measures approximately 13.6 cm x 2.9 cm, while the Warrior Mini measures approximately 10.6 cm x 2.3 cm.

( M2R Pro Flashlight)

It is understood that this product is mainly sold on Amazon and Costco platforms, with a total of 6,579 pieces sold.

Health Canada warns that these flashlights may trigger themselves when placed in a pocket, overheating the product and causing burns.

As of April 19, 2022, Health Canada has received six incident reports.

The third product to be recalled is a probiotic fiber supplement sold at Costco with product number 1597539.

The reason for the recall is that some product batches may contain active ingredients higher than the labeled dosage, which may affect consumers' health.

Below are the affected batches and other relevant information:

Health Canada recommends that consumers stop taking the supplements in question and consult a medical professional if they have any health problems.

Recently, many products sold on overseas e-commerce platforms have been recalled, and the reasons for the recall are all related to product safety issues.

For cross-border sellers, when selecting products, they must strictly control the quality of products and conduct detailed assessments of product safety issues.

Because once a product is recalled, it will cause serious consequences. Not only will it lose the trust of consumers, but the sales of such products will also be greatly reduced , which is very detrimental to the development of the store in the long run.
