China's first new energy digital exhibition launched on Alibaba International Station, new energy merchants held new product launches online

Recently, China's first new energy digital exhibition was launched on Alibaba International Station. Nearly 500 digital booths brought together more than 100,000 new energy products. It welcomed nearly 10,000 buyers on the first day. It is expected that more than 100,000 buyers will flock to this digital exhibition within two weeks.

 

 

"We originally expected that we would be satisfied if 30 to 40 customers asked for product catalogs after a live broadcast . Unexpectedly, 80 to 90 customers asked for product catalogs or samples on the spot , and 3 customers directly placed six orders. The store received more than 160 inquiries in less than a day , 80% of which came from live broadcasts. " Talking about a new product launch held at the New Energy Digital Exhibition, Xie Fangen, Marketing Operations Manager of Shenzhen DeLan Minghai Technology Co., Ltd., listed a lot of real data. He said that he only arranged one backstage colleague to reply to messages during the live broadcast that day, but later found that it was a serious mistake. Overseas customers left messages and inquiries very enthusiastically, and one person could not handle it at all.

 

Launching new products through live broadcast is not a rare thing in the domestic fast-moving consumer goods industry, but for new energy industry companies that previously mainly participated in offline exhibitions, it really set a precedent in the industry.

Xie Fangen said that in order to make this online new product launch a success, two key members were directly added to the live broadcast team : Sun Zhanfeng , head of the African business department , and Zhang Yingqin, business manager for the European and American markets. This was the first time that two anchors were on the same stage to introduce the product. The two repeatedly rehearsed and polished the script in the early stage. On the day of the live broadcast, one explained and the other demonstrated, which greatly enhanced the sense of interaction.

" Dai Xianwen, director of industry operations at Alibaba International Station, said that in the past three years , the cumulative growth rate of the new energy industry on Alibaba International Station has exceeded 10 times , among which photovoltaic modules + photovoltaic inverters, photovoltaic systems, wind turbines, lithium-ion batteries, lithium-ion energy storage systems, etc. have become hot-selling new energy products on the International Station.

 

The new energy track is hot, and businesses are flocking in, which also promotes their continuous transformation and upgrading. For example , De Lanminghai was originally an OEM for Anker, with a total annual sales of about 200 million yuan, but after deducting various expenses, the remaining profit was basically only enough to run the factory. In the end, with a bit of confusion, they embarked on the road of directly facing consumers to make their own brand Bluetti . Since the crowdfunding was launched in 2020, by May this year , Bluetti's sales have tripled, with its own brand revenue accounting for 70% , and it also has more than 200 technical patents .
