The war between Russia and Ukraine has touched the hearts of thousands of people, and concerns about ships trapped in the war between Russia and Ukraine are also rising . According to foreign media reports, another cargo ship was attacked in a Ukrainian port.
According to media reports from Bangladesh , on March 2, local time , the Bangladeshi bulk carrier " Banglar Samriddhi " was attacked by missiles near the port of Olvia in the Mykolaiv region on the northern coast of the Black Sea , and some crew members were killed.
The ship has a load capacity of 38,800 tons and 29 crew members on board . The ship was trapped in the port of Olvia when Ukraine closed its seaports after the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war . Relevant personnel said that the supplies on board would not last more than two weeks. After the war began, the crew called on the Bangladeshi government to take necessary measures to rescue them. Bangladesh Shipping Company said that its chartering department was working to move the ship to a safe place.
The Ukrainian Maritime Ports Administration reported that the vessel was hit by a missile on the superstructure early on March 2. Ukrainian authorities reported that two tugboats were sent to assist the ship and they believed there were no crew casualties .
However, the Bangladeshi media disputed this. Two Bangladeshi newspapers, Business Standard and Financial Express, reported that the ship 's third engineer was killed in the attack , and that the crew quickly controlled the fire after the ship was hit , and other crew members were not injured.
Safety analyst Dryad Global reported that three other ships had been attacked by missiles or bombs in the Black Sea in the past week , including a chemical tanker named "Millennial Spirit", on which 10 crew members were forced to jump into the sea, two of whom were seriously injured; a Japanese bulk carrier "Namura Queen" that was hit by a missile and has now safely arrived in eastern Turkey for repairs ; and a Turkish merchant ship "Yasa Jupiter" .
International organizations have been trying to help crews stranded in Ukrainian ports , while Ukraine and EU member states have called on the International Maritime Organization to take action to help ships stuck in Ukrainian ports. The International Maritime Organization has not yet responded to these calls. Russia Ukraine |
